Actually she strarted with J Stroger Cook County where she got a bill of abt19k, she paid off $2. 5k which includes the labs, prenatal checks done and closed her account. You may need to call the Dr to find out about accepting tests done in Nigeria.

His name is Dr Oransare, he is Nigerian affiliated to Access group. I think another mama provided more info a few pages back.

and closed her a/c with them and start

Hello, pls does this Doc accept test results from Nigeria? And can u pls tell me the Dr's name?

haaaaa. help again o. dont be tired pls. hubby has an old passport (before epassport started) that has a 6mnths, 2yrs, visa and a rejection of 5yrs application. the rejection was in 2007 wt reason (he was a student then and dint have sufficient ties to nigeria) all from way back before we got married. his new passport has just schengen visa

as you have advised we should face our us visa for birthing, does this new discovery on his old passport matter?
should we take this passport alongside the new one at all?

pls bear in mined, my self n 2yr old baby have 6months uk application rejection on ours

thanks guru mums

olokings:
I won't advice that.
Ever heard of "visa shopping"?! Embassies frown at those. ... hmmmm...#thinking. .
I'd say liquidate the fixed deposit into account and if asked you will day you have been planning this vocation and childbirth trip a while now (make sure you back up this statement by dotting ur Is n crossing ur Ts).
Apply str8 to us embassy and do it quickly.
Going to late at your term negates your claim of planning ahead on time.

Do what you have to do and do it quick. .

In the spirit of giving back, I had my baby some days ago in New York. I checked Wycoff, Queens Medical Center, kings county hospital Brooklyn, jamaica hospital, new York Hospital Queens but eventually settled with MMC (Mercy Medical Center) cos they had a straight forward pricing and honestly I got top notch satisfaction from the level of care I received.

Prenatal visits and care, tests, sonogram and delivery cost at the hospital's care center is 1100;
2 days hospital stay with sumptuous food (and a celebration dinner for the couple...LoL. let's just say I like food too much sha ) is 6000;
Epidural 1000.
Several tests and vaccines were administered during the 2 days stay and it's all inclusive in what you paid (tdap, hep B, hearing test, vit K, etc etc).
2 post partum visit for mother is also included but you pay 85 for pediatrician to see baby after discharge.

I got all my receipts and awaiting Zero balance letter.

BC and SSN is being processed by the hospital and I can start passport application afterwads.

All in all, fantastic hospital and experience.

And HONESTLY we need to start combing out new hospitals as well that will be beneficial to others too..

Congrats on your safe delivery,God bless your LO

Try Uber insread. You. Can calculate the fare on their website before you decide and then compare to cab or car rental prices.

Somebody mentioned here that National is a good rental company cos they accept naija debit cards.

What's the real story? Cos ur story isn't consistent... In the UK visa page u said and I quote "
note: hubby never had a rejection any time and has been to few other countries. his will be a renewal"

Now u r saying he was denied?
In the UK visa page u talked about funds(how someone transferred 400k to ur hubby and he transferred same amount to another person) and that u preferred to use ur sisters account. And u also said u intend to apply end of August to the UK (and you'll be 24 or 25 weeks) lets add the duration of their visa processing and then let's add when you will b able to secure an appointment with d US embassy

What do u want? To birth in the UK or US ? You seem confused and not completely honest.
Like financefitness said HAVE YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES CHANGED?

It obviously hasn't and note that you were denied visa based on finances..

You are even beginning to confuse me

Greetings
Yeah sure. ..you can carry it in ur BOP envelope and use it (only wen asked for sighting) as a back up/confirmation when he brings up his travel history.
Unless you are asked abt any visa denial just don't bother brining it up. .when u are asked just be sincere and reiterate d fact that ryt now u just wanna go on this long awaited vacation with your family and also have your baby when it's time. You can always reapply and goto the UK at a time of your choosing.

Be confident, get your story str8 and logical.
Maintain eye contact when you can, be relaxed, lead the conversation to areas of ur strength. Wen u have d opportunity.

All ll b well.
Gud luck once again

so pls pardon US.

i dint put the 400k lump sum in hubby account on this thread cos i feel US doesnt look for such on statements unlike UK

the story is clearer. we both have uk application rejection, mine in 2014, i have only been to ghana b4. his in 2007, he has been to uk few times b4 the rejection and germany last year

we wana give birth in us. do we reaply for uk first, or face US squarely

Doesn't it ask on the application if you've been refused a visa? If you answer truthfully, shouldn't that suffice?
This your story already had a k-leg, now it's turning to bow leg!

@all, CBN has now issued a circular banning fx cash deposits into domicilliary accounts. All previous deposits can only be withdrawn in cash. So all banks will now turn down all FX cash deposits.

People replied u already! U.S. Visa is not fill form today go to embassy tomorrow, u might have to wait almost 2months depends on the crowd applying at that time to get a date.. The visa rejection they ask about on the form is US VISA. Sometimes the VO won't ask about ur history... Browse through this thread and gather ur burden of proof and be prepared .. On a serious note go through this thread with ur jotter and pen and gather materials and read people's experiences... It would really help. It's not just account statements, it's hospital, Drs correspondence , accommodation, strong ties etc so u must read through

@uptown17 yes US do check if you have lump of money in your account, during my interview the lady saw a 2million transaction i did few months ago and she was asking me what is this 2million and i explained to her.

@firsttymum Thanks for your advice ,apart from the 7million i have another statement of account from UBA that have almost the same amount like the one i showed the VO.
financefittness, alkelvin oloking Thank you very much for all your candid advice.

firsttymum:
2million a month on textile doesn't seem realistic couple with d fact that u have 7million in ur account.. If u are earning that, ur account shld b way above that. Don't forget people who earn 500k and below go with statements that has ur figure.

Use ur lowest sale(profit) for the month as ur earning..,
2million is like $10k
These people see us as liars
Then u now said because d hospital is affordable (ur monthly earning doesn't allow that statement)

Look for a more expensive hospital and a more expensive apartment... Dr F isn't expensive at least for ur monthly earnings

Good luck.. Don't forget to PRAY and ask God for favour

Nah u can get both passports since u are heading to atl. I saw ur pm notification. I haven't read it but I'm guessing u are asking for Dr and accommodation? I stayed with family in Atl and Dr is Dr. Rosenberg. His schedule is tight though so call in advance. Are u using Northside?

@ the other 2/3.....if u wanna fly there, good luck and safe journey. My post is directed to Atl mamas. I know nothing else about other states.

Hi Shawbabe, Thanks for ur numerous posts on Northside Hosp birth, I will like clarification on the OB/GYN u used, In ur post after birth, you mentioned that that your OBGYN was a female (used "her" all through) but in ur quote above, u said Dr is Dr. Rosenburg. Which exactly do u use? I'm trying to make a decision. Thanks.
