I shake my head after reading some comments here. The reasoning here is why so many of our young men get slapped with rape charges abroad, once a woman says no it means no, any attempt after that is rape. This was a girl entrusted to him by her father who is a friend/neighbour but he couldn't control himyself. Unfortunately at the end of the day people of the same mindset as the OP will continue to blame the victim and encourage other irresponsible men like the rapist to continue.

This is typical of the OP.Always talking about things he has refused to research on. Let me enlighten you, the first thing in rape analogy is "No means No". It doesn't matter if the girl precipitated the action or led him on, all that matters is if at the point of penetration, she withdrew from the action or indicated her reluctance. Once she says no and you continue without her consent, such action constitutes RAPE. Also it is normal for girls at the point of rape to freeze and blank out their mind. This happens about 90% of the time. The fear of facing the reality of rape would force them to withdraw into a subconscious shell inorder to pass through the ordeal. This action is involuntary and so can't be turned on or off. Also FYI: she displayed all the characteristics of a rape victim: unusual quietness, change in behavioural pattern, withdrawn personality and so many others. This is in no way a case of blackmail or retribution. The lecturer is just trying to be clever. He probably has done this so many times and had gotten away with it because of the experience and nature of the other victims. The recent victim is the first virgin and so why the turn of his luck. Please read up on rape before helping the lecturer get off the hook because of your subconscious misogynistic nature
You don't have an indept knowledge of the legal definition of rape. Beyond väginal penetration, the victim should be able to show evidence of torn cloths and bruises on her body. Did she shout for the members of University community to know she was being raped or it's her father that blew it up when she told him at home?

Since it's consensual, the lecturer, in my opinion, has no question to answer since the girl is no longer a minor.
As is the case with all your posts, you are once again way off key with your analysis. Where in the article does it prove the act was consensual. Rape was strewn over the entire article, so I can't for the love of God understand how you deduced that aspect. Your testosterone got the better of you and so you thought it best to believe it is the girls fault, she must have wanted it. That's what most men want to believe and it is what must be discouraged if our society wants to evolve and be rightly said to be civilised

Well, in any case that man goofed big time. Firstly never promise a girl anything in return for sexual pleasures, if you renege on your promise, the girl always pulls this kind of stunt, deservedly so for any man involved. Secondly, the man's betrayal of his friend's trust is unforgivable, even if the rape charge doesn't stick, am sure there should be other offences here. The man was reckless and stupid, maybe a rapist too, but all the same I still wish our legal system is advanced enough for sensitive cases like this to be decided based on facts, logic and science not emotions and he said...she said.

Its people like this that make rape victims scared of talking or reporting the culprits. This one that managed to talk is now being attacked by other perpetual racist like the OP. Nonsense! You think everything must be logical as you explained it. A man cannot wake up by 4am and think of rape but an18 years old girl can start seducing a man by that same time. And then she will still go and report to her parents abi.... And you are supposed to be a right thinking man. Shame on you and other rapist!!! Pls lets encourage other rape victims to speak out so we can keep exposing these beassts in our society. OP they must catch you r one day.... Bet me

He pulled off your TROUSERS, you didn't say No. He pulled off your pants, you didn't so No. He inserts his Condo, then you shout No? Do you know how hard it is for a black man to get to second base and get rejected?
Many of us have had girls that shouted 'No, No, No' only to start shouting 'Yes....Yes....Harder...deeper' 3 seconds later.

Go and read up on law cases involving rape. Torn clothes and a battered body is not the only confirmation of rape. So many cases involve a scenario of both individuals having their clothes on. Go and force a woman into performing a sexual act and then tell the police she had her clothes on and there are no physical marks on her. You will land faster in jail than you can say APC.

stop foaming in the mouth. One thing led to the other and two adults hate passionate consensual sex. What is wrong in that?

Its not just girls that lie, EVERYBODY lies!
So what if its the man thats telling the lies.
So what if there is an iota of truth in the girl's story? We sweep it under the rug and continue to ask victims of rape to speak out, for what? So we can shame them? Prove their story untrue? Label them liars?

The man in this case is an adult, married, a custodian. Even if they had consensual se.x, he is not legally, morally and ethically justified to indulge in it. Your friend handed his daughter to you, you claim she started it and you had se.x with her, abeg if she kan get the admission nko?
There is something called self control and this man obviously lacks it.

At the end of the day the man has a lot to lose, his job, his dignity, respect, family.....all for what?
The girl also loses on her part. Whether she told the truth or not. People around her will never look at her the same way again. She has more struggles to go thru if there is truth in what she says.

My simple question to the OP, what if this girl was your sister, girlfriend or daughter, would you be so quick to judge and label her? I dont mean this as an insult, buh I have noticed that we dont extend the love and protection we feel towards ours to others. Until we start to do so, the world isnt going to get better.
Have a nice weekend.

Establishing a case of rape has proven to be difficult worldwide. Though väginal penetration alone can kick start a case of alleged rape, the victim should be able to prove that in the cause of resisting the rapist, her cloths got torn and she sustained bruises. This is important because after a girl gives consent to a man to have sèx with her, she can turn around to claim she was raped.

Zaynie, What if the man was your father, or brother, or even husband. Would you just buy into the girls story without proper investigation?

One thing you are missing here is that the girl is an adult. Yes, the man must have being randy by sleeping with her when he has a wife, but you must also understand that some people have very high libido levels that is very hard to control sometimes.

Once a girl is no longer a minor, when whether or not she consents holds no water, whatever sèxual intercourse she has is consensual provided there is no evidence or torn cloths and bruises.

Please educate her further. Once you have sex with anyone above 18, it is not considered rape unless there are physical evidences.

She should search for 'statutory rape' in google.

If he was my husband, brother or father and he actually claims that they did have s.ex, I have already lost all trust and I will most likely not believe him, depending on prior attitudes or character; is he aggressive? domineering? lacks self control.
I just answered your question buh you havent answered mine.

Having high libido is no justification, its like saying having a bad temper justifies murder. If you have a weakness, you work on it and dont make people suffer for it.

Good points, Just like you said, the man already has enough to loose even if he is exonerated. Should serve as a deterrent to other "high-libido" men. That man deserves what he's getting, although any fair minded person would still prefer for justice to prevail for justice to prevail, not the wish of the offended.

Muslims like OP always find a way to approve of and defend rape.

OP, you just wasted your time spewing trash by taken journalist report from a newspaper as the official police case file.

I know you will demand for 4 adult male witnesses before you can prove rape.

Just imagine you are the father of that young girl or if you where the useless lecturer facing an impending criminal conviction will you own up to rape?

The only problem here is that the young girl did not report immediately on time but there are many ways to get a confession from the useless rabid yoruba muslim dog of a lecturer.

I've read a lot of cases on rape. Don't confuse yourself, rape and assault are two different things. Do you know that if after my wife I'm legally married to says "no" to my advances, I forcefully tear her cloths and bruise her, with evidence of väginal penetration, I can only be convicted with assault, not rape?

Some people's libido is surely their downfall!
Now, my question, they used condom right? Who provided the condom? Obviously the man!
Did the man brought the condom from his house, did he buy the condom while they were coming to the school or was the man always keeping condom in his office?
If he brought the condom from the house then he had since concluded that he must sleep with that girl!
If he keeps condoms in his office, then I think prison is waiting for him!
If he bought it on the way then maybe after he realised that he has to go down with the girl!

This is the kind of thread that proves to the world that Nigeria contains some of the daftest people on earth and that Nigerian education is fake. In Nigeria rape is consensual sex even when it is clear that the rapist took advantage of the victims desperation to acquire Nigerian fake education that seldom develop the brain. Corrupt politicians are given weighty chieftaincy titles ,people can post decapitated limbs and torso on public forums and sixty year old sitting governors are marrying twenty four year olds .I blame the west for classifying such obvious mentally inadequate samples as homo sapiens.
