Will make this very brief, 3 months ago i joined my friend at his place of work, with his help i was able to be employed there.

It all started with the manager complaining about my friend's work style and always comparing him with me, despite the fact they don't know we are close pals and we live together, this really get me worried he is not so good on computers yet they kept comparing him to me, always saying he's not fast enough, and later after some weeks the boss concluded he's withdrawing the appointment of some workers due to shortage in patronage, to my disbelieve my friend name was among the 14 workers discharged, and ever since then he not been talking to me in the house, he kept mute even when I try talking to him, now I've decided to quit the work at month end, for the sake of peace between us.

Though I have no other means yet but you know that feelings when someone you always talk to just begin to act strange and wouldn't release his anger by speaking just looking since his fired.........

Please what can I do? Should I quit the job as well?

It isn't your fault. You should talk to him and let him see reasons with you. I believe if he was to be in your shoes he won't quit because you were fired. God used that visit to grant you what you have been praying for which is a job. If you quit the job because of him now what makes you think he will reconcile with you? Will you be happy to call him a friend if he reconciles after quitting? Don't live your life to please others. true friend will always be with you both in good and bad times. For him to be angry at your success shows that He isn't a true friend. In the race of life overtaking is allowed.

Don't quit your job. You didn't fire him. You can only be if help. You can find your own accommodation. Try talking with him to see what he thinks about you and his sack....DO NOT QUIT YOUR JOB.

He has fulfilled his ministry in the establishment which is to bring you in. He will get a job somewhere else.

You have a good heart. He helped you get the job. But at the end of the day, u were able to "keep" your job. Unfortunately he couldn't keep his. That's no fault of yours. Nobody wants to be associated with mediocrity. it's OK to feel bad about your friend's situation. But it would be stupid to quit your job cos u feel it would cheer your friend up. I'm sure deep down, your friend doesn't want u to quit. that would be selfish of him. Give him some time to come around.

Well it wasn't any fault of yours that he got fired, you were simply good at what you do....there is no point to quit....about your friend, give him some time to process the whole ish....if he is truly your friend am sure he will acknowledge what really happened and try to work on his competence and move on....

There is no wisdom is quitting your job, what has happened has happened, what you can do now is to support him till he gets another job, even if you move out of the house, still find a way to support him. Don't feel bad. even if you were not employed there, he still may have lost the job.

Quit not the job,it ain't your fault he got sacked... Getting job/work in Nigeria is like looking for a pin underneath the ocean.So i advice you support him financially,until he gets another work.

The real fact is that u guys are not real friends because I don't see no reason y ur friend should b angry at ur success jst because he was d source of it.

Its not easy to quit ur job but some have done greater things than that all in d name of friendship. It was out of friendship he worked u into that job, and to me, its not too much of a big deal if u quit d job to save ur relationship with him, u dont know what bigger opportunity awaits him that he may withold from u next time.

My idea, play the mind game with him. Call him and tell him u noticed that to him getting u d job seems like his biggest mistake and ultimately he has lost the job and u still keep d job, that u are ware this could be hurting to him but that u wanna save u guys relationship that u wanna resign if that will make him happy.

Trust me, if u use the right words n d right emotions, even if it does not come from his heart, he will tell u not to resign that hes cool. I tell u he notices the sacrifice u are willing to make, and i bet u, he will turn up

I can feel his pain though, just let him know he's taking the wrong approach, one thing is certain he was not the only one sacked as such even though yu were not working there he would still meet the same fate.
