zik4ever: Apart from ROE and drop in crude oil prices which are both temporal, what else is wrong with the fundamentals of this company? I would like to know. Besides, the EPS reported in the above link (N14.77) is not correct. Seplat EPS actually increased from N38.12 to N42.55 at the end of Q2 because you calculate EPS using total comprehensive income and not just using PAT alone. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megainvest: 11:51am On Aug 21, 2015 |
Elai147: There is nothing wrong with SEPLAT's fundamentals and that's why I wont take my eyes off it. The market sentiment is the problem with this stock. The world will come around to see it eventually just like Access. I fear no bear, the cheaper the better. |

Agbalowomeri: Personally I think this is a good company to own for long term and if i can get it @N200 or less, I may include it to my long term stocks. Some brokers advised against buying FO and Nestle some years ago. But I would like to know from BnSiTL if there is any good reason why Seplat is a bad investment choice. |

SpongeBobSP: In the banking sector, the best long term stocks are GTB and Zenith. Access is also a good one in terms of dividend payment. GTB is stronger but more expensive. There is no need to own both GTB and Zenith as both are very much alike in performance strength and dividend payment. You can go for Zenith and Access as an undergraduate. If you have money you may risk FBNH but try not to get too exposed to banking stocks. 1 Like |

The only way for access and UBA to move upwards is for fbnh to also move upwards from its current price. As long as FBNH is still down they won't move up as expected. |

pls house, how can I notify access bank registrar that I have bought access bank shares now so that I will benefit this their dividends come September? |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Manonamission: 12:33pm On Aug 21, 2015 |
zendi: Good result no doubt but do you have any idea if the capital raised was utilized in the 2nd quarter? If the bank did not receive the proceeds of the rights issue until after Q2, 2015, then I will consider the result superb. Note that EPS was based on pre-rghts OS. So I'm just wondering why the bank used pre-rights OS to calculate EPS when (or if) it received the proceeds in Q2. Post-rights EPS should be c. ukay2: Their registrar is United Securities.............You will have to download their e-dividend form and submit to them or wait for Access to mail you your dividend warrant............You don't need to notify them that you have bought their stock................Thats the duty of the registrar and once you buy before the closure date, you will be on their register....................... |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ukay2: 12:42pm On Aug 21, 2015 |
angelo82: OK, I should submit the e- dividend form via my stock broker to their registrar before the deadline of dividend payment? |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Manonamission: 12:46pm On Aug 21, 2015 |
ukay2: You don't need to notify the registrar. Your information is passed on to the registrar by CSCS. But you may go ahead and request for a "Transfer form/signature mandate form" from your broker. The registrar MAY request for your signature specimen if they don't have it and it also depends on the warrant value. They might just post if the value is not much. I stand to be corrected. #modified |
