They slammed me with a bill of $2150 undecided called to find out what they r charging me for.. They said blood work for the baby, circumcision $650. Bla bla bla...after much talking and screaming they gave 30% discount reducing it to $1450. But I'm still not gonna pay that cos the circumcision wasn't even done well. Upon the drawing they gave my son " corner kick prick".. cry

Sorry for dat my sister. High bill on top of it na corner kick dem give am.

U make me laf and cry at the same time. I thk it's best coming home to do this thg than take changes over their with their expensive bill and not doing it well.

Is not that they are perfect like that too back home ooo, but the chances of not doing it well is low.

Them oyibo pple no dey wait for 8days, they will just do the thing after birth before they discharge you, unless you insist on them not doing it immediately

Thanks Hawttattoo. I think i'll do it myself by getting a visa via Atlanta. I start today and will send it out probably tomorrow. Which doctor delivered your baby? The lactation specialist there, the tall lady only sees moms that are doing exclusive breastfeeding. She's a Port Harcourt person and we quickly identified with each other.
She did well to drop a manual Medela breast pump which was helpful and got my wife started. The others came freely lovely drinks from the pantry room, food, baby blankets, similac et al. For moms using Dr. Morgan you can ask the nurses if you are entitled to these little perks.

P.S I know it's been said here before but ensure you let your pediatrician or whoever will be performing your child's circumcision what you want. Tell them naija style and show them a pencil sketch of what you want if you think it will help them else you may end up doing it again.

I also had to redo my son"s circimsion in Nigeria when we came back as it wasn't done Niger style. The doctor left excess foreskin and his cap was still partly covered.I personally didn't mind but all the looks and questions on why I was yet to circumcise him after 3months was getting too embarrassing. After input from parents,in laws etc(trust our people now),I re circumcised him and believe me it was a very painful experience for us both.
My suggestion;take a picture of what you want along.A friend went with her older son that was circumcised in Nigeria and showed his "thing" to the doctor.

Lol i follow you sit down for floor. "Corner kick prick" lwkmd ooo... lol... i used a naija doctor in Chicago for my first and second son so it was perfectly done. I think its better to do it in Naija if you dont trust the doctor to avoid stories that touch the heart...

Off point question pls.
What do you do with your US sim card when you get back to naija? I was seriously saving my own wink thinking I can still use it again if I go back to US but learnt it would have expired by then and I need a brand new one undecided. So na to buy another sim card and plan that's usually like $80 or more. Is there any way around it?
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by Nobody: 11:08am On Aug 27, 2015
Honestly, i do not advise anyone to circumcise their son in the U.S. As long as you will be coming back to Naija before he's 3 months, it can be perfectly done here by even a midwife. A nurse did my son's at my home for just 5k and she did a fantastic job. She was done within minutes.

Even all those old women for village dey do better job pass many of these Pediatricians for US wey go first dey form plenty activity on top small matter. Reason being that circumcision is not a routine procedure in the US. It is optional and they are not very conversant with it. But, if one can get a very experienced Pediatrician, then you may give it a trial.

If you ask me though, i will say; please bring your boys back home and avoid being questioned by them when they become teenagers and start having some sort of inferiority complex. MHO.

I circumcised my 2 boys at 2 days old here in US and they were both perfectly done. My preference is to do it here when they are still much younger and the environment neater.

I think people will generally get good people to circumcise their boys in Texas, so if pricing is not an issue, I will advise they do it here in the US - I've used Dr Partell in Elpaso and Dr Robinson (with Dr F) in Houston, they both did it the Nigerian way.

Not aware of any other way - that's why I bought the cheapest option this second trip. No point spending so much on the card.

I agree with you. Dr Robertson (with Dr F) did my son's own and it was perfect. They did it when he was less than 24hrs and no issues whatever.

About this penis issue, which ever rocks ur boat. If u r lucky to get it done correctly there then fine.... If not carry ur pikin come back and do it.

About the duration.... People get their circumcision done at adulthood....

More mothers are back before d child is 3 months so it's perfect sef.

Doing circumcision twice is not funny ooo. It's better to snap a penis and show d dr ....

After 90 days of no use. You will lose the number. So I guess you need a new sim on arrival.
