Mine was so annoying, back then when I was still in secondary school, on my way back there was this dog that just loved barking in this compound, so out of anger i and my friend will keep stoning the gate to make it bark the more, chai na so one thursday reach <can never 4get that day> as usual we go throw stone 4 de gate , like magic the other tiny gate was opened o na so we see this bull massif 4 our front, o boy na temple run 4 , na d next day i saw my friend in school, we laughed at ourselves ehnn , i never passed there again.

hmmm,in our chairman's house, I was working on a swimming pool one day. all of a sudden, I saw a dog coming out of cage,walking toward me. I was damn scared. as it was walking toward me,I walked to the other side of the pool. it then walked toward me. we walked round the pool twice. when it could not reach me,it left.
In this very compound, there are many dogs,those little dogs. up to like 9 in number,each time they start barking at me,i used to stand still and look away,it worked fine but it has to be with a lot of confidence. I hate dog mehn. i have no choice but go to that house to attend to their technical problems.

Hahaha....being chased by alsatian dogs was an everyday experience for students of hopebay college, okoko annex living around afromedia estate, mebamu, salami areas using the short cut road by jumping the fence close to the compound where these dogs are . The owner of the dog, Ikey was also a student of my school, a friend and classmate to two of brother's friends, we always come back from school together. So, on that fateful evening, we were coming back from school and the next thing ikey ran to their gate and told us to run because he wants to release the dogs from their chains. We thought he was joking and we told him he cannot. He said okay then, before we could say jack robinson three huge dogs came out and started pursuing all of us. I was the only gal and could not run fast because of my skirt, heels and the fact that the ground was sandy. I was calling my brother's name so he could help me, not knowing he was already 5 miles ahead with his usain bolt legs (oso ndu) including d oda boys with him. I ended up falling down and the dogs jumped over me and continued chasing my brother and his friends. I got the last laugh and we ended up not talking to ikey for some time. #memories#

then I ran into some bucket and struck my head on some pillar I was dazed cant remember much after

I was jogging in one of the neighborhood streets at about 6am that weekend, and just I passed this house on the street, the dog bounced out and followed me. I looked back and noticed the house gate was open and this hulky Rott was behind me, chasing and barking at me, although at some distance. If you see fear wey catch me hen! I just turned my jogging into sprinting checking my back until I heard a shout from the back and it was the owner's. The dog froze. It had already chased me for about 1 kilometer.

I still remember that day. It was in 2003 when i lost my mum and my grandmum asked my dad to bring us to be staying with our uncles while my dad returns to gombe state.

On that fateful day, my uncle sent me to buy kerosine.

On my way, i was attacked by this ugly looking ekuke local dog. Y'all know how local dogs use to be very fierce in those days unlike these days.

So i picked race and ran back home. My uncle got mad at me and started saying i won't eat if i don't go out and buy the kerosine but for where? I on gree in.

He got angry and snatch the gallon and money from me and headed out angrily.

Not up to a minute i started gearing foot steps and someone calling my name to please open the door.

I looked through the window and saw my tall uncle running for his dear life and that same dog was chasing him!

In my childish thinking, i ran locked the door with keys so that the dog doesn't come in when i open the door.

Na so uncle bang the door like say he wan break am but i no send. Oboy, nobody told him to run go enter our neighbour's house... Smh

it was in maiduguri, those dogs were the evolusion of boko haram, dont think i'm axagirating or something , we were inside car with a friend, when these very tall dogs was on uniform speed with our car trying to enter tru wind shed screnn, thank God the car was a taping glass, we would have be eaten by the wolve like dogs, it was so scary on that day, op dont remind me again.

For those who should know, is it lawful to allow your dog roam free in a public space? In my Estate one fool who lives close to my house is in the habit of unleashing his dog late at night to roam all around our avenue. Some of us are night crawlers and on a few occasions, I have encountered the dog and had only managed to pass by without incident. I have vowed that if ever, God forbid, this dog injures somebody one day, I will not only make sure that I butcher it to death, but I will also burn the owners house down. Nothing like sorry will be entertained.

If you like your stupid dog, keep it within your own compound instead of constituting a nuisance with it and endangering the lives of other law abiding citizens!

I have neva been chased by a dog b4, i cleverly avoid them from childhood even till now.....The only time i come in contact with dogs is when i wanna kill them base on pepper soup things

My uncle had a large security firm in PH and keeps dogs. The dogs are always pure breed and a lot of money. Once he got a pure breed boxer ; the dog had more muscles than I had. The dogs takes me for walks ; he walks I drag the chain. People jump into on coming traffic to avoid the dog, they don't care. They have better chances with a car. He had one flaw: he hated chains and breaks them regularly. When that happens, everyone including the owner run away and appoint me to put the nuzzle on him. That nuzzle would make Hannibal proud. One unfortunate night, he broke the chain and refused anyone to get near him. With mortal fear, I did everything to get close to him, hiding the nuzzle behind me. Then I jump on him. The dog beat me like a policeman and bit my laps and my fingers. During the fight, the nuzzle slipped off but I got a of the collar. Still the dog dragged me for a while until someone brave enough helped me to get the nuzzle. The next day the dog was brought down ; the owner had kids in the compound and he was ready to sacrifice N200k for his children.
The dog was very helpful against those annoying local government council men in Port Harcourt. He uses a lot of Hilux jeeps and we put the dog at the back. The LGC boys see the Hilux, jump into the back to stop us and collect money, see the dog and either change direction in mid air or jump out faster than they jumped in

remember so many yrs back around the late 90's. Got chased by our own dog.

was playing soccer with my bro in the compound when the dog suddenly ran out to play too I guess. na so fear grip me, meanwhile it had rained earlier in the day.

As the dog charged towards us, na so me I take off. And my next instinct was to climb the bonnet of popsy's Benz. (dem no dey carry v. boot play that time).
As I climbed on the bonnet my knee went to the already wet windscreen. boooom. smash it went.

In fact when popsy later got to know, he said he wished the dog BIT me. but since it did not, he would BEAT me.

It hppnd in 2003, we moved in to a new apartment,, its was a big compound nd we shared it wit anoda family, altho we use different gates, it happns dat our neighbour has dis look alike lion dog calld Terry, d only difference between terry and a lion is the mane,dat thick hairs dat covers round its neck.. wat amuses me is how dey treat terry, seems like he's human, comfortable cage house, mouth watering meals, bathin d lion everydy nd funny stuffs to numerous to mention..
On dt particular day dat I was attacked, I, my brother nd my 6month old cousin were at home, so I wenta get somtyn outside d street, wen going out I noticed dt terrys cage wasnt properly locked, he was jumpin nd barking vigorously, nd mesef come lock up wit fear,i passed nd jammed d gate.
5mins I returned,as I say mek I lock gate na so terry just use head opn cage, I ran he chased me,as I was runin I was shoutin, my broda dat was at balcony was also shouting Terry,Terry,,,, I dunno how d spirit of God overpowered me nd lifted me up nd I saw myself ontop a car parkd in d compound, still panting in tears nd sweats cos I was very young, I looked dwn nd terry was still lookin up,barkin profusely waitin to devour me,, I had to stay put ontop d car till d owners came nd locked him bak..i remembrd my dad mekin troubles wit dem aftr we narrated wat hppnd..
Terry bcame my worst day-dream and Worst night-mare..Uptil d day we left d compound I nvr crossed terrys path ever..

As a kid I realized that dogs smell fear
There was once a big terrifying dog in our neighborhood that chases people around, I was in one of a dare-the-dog party when it started chasing us but immediately I stopped due to my short sightedness the dog froze and went back

Yes o. A long time ago. My neighbours dog. And to think this is a dog i feed every night from my balcony by throwing my left over bones and all. As soon as he hears the plate from the kitchen he will be all excited barking a little and cant wait for the delicacy.

So my neighbour put to bed and i went over to see the newest kid in the block. As i walked into the compound majestically and adjusting my collar fully confident and saying to myself "Shadow will welcome me with his waging tail, i have no reason fear". I was still in thoughts and also excited to see Shadow up close when all of a sudden shadow appeared in my front with his 32 teeth visible if at all it is 32 and groaning.

I said "yeh! He then started barking fiercely. I didn't need a sooth sayer to tell me to turn and run. Na so i turn run with my legs touching the back of my head. Shadow chased me down towards the gate where i came in from. At this point my neighbour came out shouting at shadow, as i approached the gate i fell down towards a car parked and hurt my elbow in the process.

They picked me up and some other person pinned shadow to a corner. Meanwhile the stupid dog was still barking as they walk me pass him. I never gave him food after that episode. The stupid dog was eventually sold to a calabar guy. May his stupid soul rest in peace. Good riddance!
