Nigeria's greatest guitarist and living legend in music, Sir Victor Uwaifo confirmed that he actually saw and met with a female marine spirit popularly called "Mammy Water" among Africans, even though others still believe that the mermaid is a myth.
The following is the confession of Sir Victor Uwaifo on how he met a mermaid at the Bar Beach of the Atlantic Ocean on Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

Tell us about your encounter with the mammy water in Lagos

That was also true. I was the Head of the graphics department at that time. We used to close late and had to be on set to organize the back drop. Because of the traffic, I used to deliberately stay late and go to the bar beach to strum my guitar and get inspiration. That particular day, I stayed really late till everybody had gone. Not long after, I observed that each time the waves advance towards me, I would move back, but the farther I moved the closer it came. Suddenly, I observed a figure coming towards me and before I knew it the figure was right before me. I wanted to run away. I screamed, which I later transposed into strumming the guitar, which has become a trend nowadays. She just said, ‘if you see mammy water, never you run away’. I just thought the mermaid loved music, otherwise it would have harmed me. What was the reception for the song after the incident? It was an instant hit. It was after Joromi which gave Nigeria the first gold in Africa....

It was an instant hit. It was after Joromi which gave Nigeria the first gold in Africa.

Would you say its success was a bit spiritual in nature?

I call it esoteric, a privileged knowledge not for everybody. From that time till today, I have been very privileged. I am a spiritual person, I have a chapel in my house. I am not only an artiste, I am an engineer. I have invented a sports car that I invented 20 years ago and I still drive it round in Benin. I have also invented guitars, I wanted a new octave on the normal guitar that would go as far as the ones that are found on a grand piano. I also invented a guitar that had a keyboard embedded in it and many more before the latest one that spins round faster than the speed of sound....

Mermaids are real as I heard stories from a guy whose cousin saw one & he almost died, likewise a local documentary made in Lagos had typical local fishermen interviewed on the issue of mermaid & they responded saying they encounter them once in a while & that 2 kinds exists, the wicked ones who don't like humans & as such attack them & the good ones who help them catch lots of fishes. As for me there is no good mermaid as they're all demons.

Have you got link to that documentary?

Fela was the only old school musician I can recall who smoked weeds but he never talked rubbish. Uwaifo must have experimented on something stronger than Igbo(weeds).

The documentry was aired on a local station in Ibadan( may 2015 ) & 2 different people ( a 67 year old man & a 34 year old woman) confirmed to have watched the same documentry on the same day, i had a conversation with them at different times on the issue of mermaid & they told me its real; they then told me of the same documentary. So let speak of what we know. Certain things are beyond this world and I personally have physically seen very scary things that are out of this world.

Confirmed by two people?? Do you know the meaning of confirmation?

What scary things did you see? Is either you are a weed person or you missed your anti malarial tablets.

Yes I do know what confirmation means; In this context it mean they watched the documentary. I don't smoke & I wasn't down with malaria; I don't live in a dirty area like you & as such I rarely get malaria. Let me ask you a question? Is there any such thing as demons in your dictionary? Do the 2 most popular holy books say anything about demons? If yes, you need to check whether you're high on weed or maybe you inhaled some from someone who is always smoking one next to you: I believe you Probably stick & restrict yourself only to what you know & understand, try & do a little more of research as this will help to expand your knowledge & broaden your perception of life. Life is more than what you can comprehend.

. Only atheists don't believe mermaids exist. Marine spirits exist. My father of blessed memory communicated with them in different tongues. My mother told me of the one she saw in Jos when she was a child. I have not seen one, but young women with relationship with marine spirits came into my life several times and one of them was an ex-girlfriend who confessed to me how a python came out of her during a Christian deliverance service. Then two of her close girlfriends who also wanted to sleep with me told me that she was still keeping the white ceramic plates she used for rituals. A buddy told me of his girlfriend who once manifested in the night when her feet suddenly turned to something like tail fin of a fish with water, and he fled. My father always said both of us came from water, but I rejected that. But another mystery is my elder sister who does not use canoe or boat, because she said the marine spirits will come for her. Another elder sister of blessed memory died after she crossed a river at midnight on an errand for our mother. Our people said no child could cross the river without canoe or boat. So, they told my mother that my sister was gone and only came to deliver what my mother wanted. Yes. There are mermaids. But I believe, my close relationship with God scares them away from coming directly to me in their true form. From the Holy Bible, when satan and his fallen angels were cast down to earth, many of them had relationships with humans, animals, fish and other creatures and became the demons often called myths. But they are real and exist till date. But you cannot see them with ordinary eyes. If you doubt the existence of mermaids, then you cannot believe in the existence of angels.

superstition, superstition, superstition. Anybody can meet a pastor, act weird and claim to be anything. It does not confirm or authenticate the existence of any thing.

Btw, you guys should tell those demons and marine spirits to assist in fighting power problems, robberies, corruptions etc or is it only in Nigeria that demons and bad marine spirits exists??.

Who were those present when the Python came out of your ex? Which church, shrine or venue did this happen? Where? When?

sorry about your sister, you said that no child could cross a river without a boat or canoe. How did your sister cross the river then? Did she swim, surf or? Which river was that? Where was she going? What time of the night? Who sent her on the errand?

You are free to believe what you want to believe but do note that demons exist worldwide; people don't believe what they can't comprehend eg. Scientists said man came out from water due to evolution but for several centuries we haven't seen any creature from water turning into man not even apes that they claim is close to man, they said God don't exist & man that man came to be as a result of bing bang theory! But till date no human haven said they witnessed any human coming into existence through any of these theories but several people worldwide have witness strange occurrence and came out to say it. Even as mango grows on trees some people still don't believe it actually grow on trees.
