Why are people saying rubbish? El-ruffi has no moral justification for closing those Christian churches and hospitals because there has never been a bloody clash among Christians in Nigeria since history, unlike the violent Muslims. He hasn't said the truth yet. If this is how they plan to start the Islamization then they will fail horribly! |

TonyeBarcanista:Well said. This is indeed a very insensitive and dangerous development. It should be condemned by all lovers of peace, irrespective of political or even religious affiliation. It appears to be a 2-pronged attack on Christianity... ABUJA and KADUNA! Where next? PFN and CAN should seek legal advice immediately. 1 Like 1 Share |

Imagine El Rufai and his fanatical program. Where in south east has it been heard that a state governor others the destruction of mosques or closure of an Islamic established school. This is purely an obvious attempt by jahadist northern governors to delude and eradicate Christianity from the north. I now see the change Buhari and APC have embarked on; religious and ethnic cleansing. This is why I said that one Nigeria is a camouflage and can never be real. 1 Like |

Bros, the Governor is not the court! His job is to execute judgement of the court. He has no right nor power to interfer in internal matter of the Church. ONLY the court has such privilege when brought upon it lorRhyMeZ: |

TonyeBarcanista: Are u privy to what status quo the court ordered both parties to maintain? I guess no. And neither do I. But in such a scenario,I wud take an intelligent guess, and that will b that both parties shud maintain decorum pending the court's final decision..and if said decorum is not being maintained,I believe the governor is within his right to sanction them. Moreover, the released statement clearly states that it was a unanimous decision of the state's security council which I believe comprises military, police, dss and other relevant security outfits within d state. |
Re: El-Rufai Shuts Down 2 Churches, Seminary, Church Hospital by TonyeBarcanista(m): 7:24pm On Sep 16, 2015 |
Status quo simply means maintain what was in the interim. It doesn't mean 'seal' the properties/institutions. What is Security Council? This is a creation of the Executive and CANNOT in any way play the role of judiciary. All El Rufai needed to do was to approach the court for an order to seal the place pending judgement. lorRhyMeZ: |

SeverusSnape: He is not a bigot. The factionalized tussle between Rev (Prof) Paul Emeka and Rev Okoroafor over the leadership of the Assemblies of God Church in Nigeria is a case well known to those who have followed it. They are now at the Supreme Court. Some months back, a skirmish broke out in a parish in Enugu when it was alleged that two pastors, one for Prof Emeka and the other with allegiance to Rev Okoroafor, tried holding two rival services in the same venue and violence erupted. The issue is tearing the church apart all over the country and so the governor has had to step in to avert breakdown of law and order. This is Northern Nigeria. In the South, such skirmishes can go unnoticed and will die down. In the North, hoodlums can easily take over the situation and before you know it, it assumes religious dimensions which could get out of hand. 4 Likes |

I don't believe in any religion, but anyone who has religion has legal right to worship anywhere in Nigeria without any hindrances! Buhari is busy taking care of Northern agenda in the federal level while El-Rufai is doing the same at the State level. They're pushing this country towards civil war. When war breaks, politicians and Northerners will be targeted! |
