What do I mean? I mean Enugu environment is ugly and images from there are very difficult for me to view with nausea.

Well the international terminal is not ready and we already have an international carrier plying our route. God willing when complete in April others will follow as predicted.
Well as for if Buhari would've done this? I don't really care! All I know is it has been done and that's how God intended!
Buhari is destroying corruption which Gej govt wallowed in! An as Igbo people all we need to excel further is a corruption free Nigeria even if we are absent it power, which we can never! So Sai Buhari! More grease to his elbows
HappyJoe:

Not sure about that. Only one airline flies out of Enugu and your "Sai Buhari" has not shown any enthusiasm to do anything in Enugu or the South East.

Do you think that if your "Sai Buhari" was president between 2011 and 2015, he would have permitted international flights out of Enugu?

Enugu is about to take off! (Quote me for future red) When AIIA becomes fully operational It is gonna open enugus potential! I hope tough times in Nigeria wouldn't affect investments and real estate expansion of Enugu so badly! I also pray God will lead our governor and president and enable them to match enugus expansion with infrastructural expansion too!
Let us kill corruption before it kills our country Sai Buhari!

I am not sure about your president.
He is too clannish and sectional to wish any good for SE talk-more of doing.

As for AIIA, there are ongoing attempts to frustrate traders using that airport and then get the airline to back-off due to low patronage. I just hope our people keep doing what they need to do and keep using the airport so that more airlines begin using the airport. Although I doubt they will permit any other airline to ply Enugu route. They want to frustrate ET out of the route.

May god give our governor the wisdom to carry on and dream big dreams.
Hoping on the FG under APC to do anything positive in the SE is like waiting for a chicken to urinate.

@ the bolded,

I used to argue against IPOD or massob demanding freedom of our land from Fulani and yoruba control and wicked manipulation.
I regret to say all my arguements against IPOD and Massob were naive, unfounded and unfortunate. The best option for Ndigbo is to freely govern ourselves and truly plan the development of our country as every real country would do.Except Nigeria where you have a certain part plotting day and night how to underdeveloped another part of the same country! Yet scream "one Naigeria" at the top of their lungs while doing it!

People talk about oil, yet although we have oil in Igboland, it is fulani and Yoruba that have used all sorts of systems to corner the whole wealth. For example, If you used other African countries without oil to compare where Igboland would have been even without oil, you will find that although Igbos were more industrious and innovative than say Congo brazaville, Cameroon or DRC, brazaville or Douala or Kinshasha is still much more developed than any part of igboland. Then compare northern Nigeria with other nearby countries that are more hardworking, prudent and sensible than a typical northern Nigerian, you will find that Sokoto,Kano,Kaduna, maiduguri, katsina, Dutse, bauchi not to mention Abuja are all more advanced than Ndjamena,Chad, Niamey, Niger, Ouagadougou, Burkina faso or Bamako, mali.

It tells you that northern Nigerians have used Nigeria to improve themselves while making sure other zones remain disadvantaged being in Nigeria.

The second is FG of Nigeria.

Why should Igbos site all their banks headquarters outside Igboland , you know that people are undermining your progress yet you still give them the opportunity to finish you off.

Goodmorning!

Cjrane2...e-hugs for the realisation you have come to...my new state of awareness
BuddhaMonk....you may be right bro, however...the consciousness is growing...at least a super intelligent guy on here has come to that realisation...that critical point that makes you a Biafran (in the soul at least, for now...which is enough for the moment)

Meanwhile the "greed" of Ndigbo is actually one way they have embodied the poverty and hunger and losses that hit them in the aftermaths of the War.....grab grab follow follow etc....not their fault...the eco social theory explains this well
However...we shall overcome to cite the US Blacks...we are innovative, and if any people can beat negative embodiment, it is us...hard though...an eg is the way Black Americans are fat and crime prone...we can do it, amen
But I digress shocked, sorry

Being sidelined in this admin is a good thing for Ndigbo I have to say...I see appointments and panic that maybe they have gotten posts...I do not want ANY post for them at all...it helps the cause and call (Biafra)...IMO
(forgive the political cluelessness I am sure my posts reek of, I act from my heart, after all, I am Igbo! cheesy)

With all due love for Nigeria, I say we have no business being one country....different people...different ideals....different everything

You are not posting anything out of the ordinary. You are only being realistic.
The present crop of tribalists running Nigeria are bent on ruining the Igbo and we've got to fight for our freedom. If you look online, they have started with the branding a dog with a bad name in order to kill it. Igbo this, Igbo that. So they are making all sorts of false allegation against Ndigbo now. if you feel like, you can respond to them. I have also finally discovered that hausa are part of the media onslaught and not just yoruba as initially thought. However, the hausa typically have yoruba names as Taiwo, Segun or Bunmi to deflect attack towards the yoruba.

We are already in a war situation in Nigeria whether we want to believe it or not. my plea is that before the war turns from cold war to hot war, IPOD and others should have an online way of raising funds internationally for the freedom of Biafra.

Two separate accounts are needed. One is for humanitarian and the second for defense need.
The humanitarian funds will be a sort of red cross relief funds for taking care and supporting of the families of freedom fighters that are killed or disabled by the Nigerian war of aggression.

Another separate account for defense should be maintained for training and acquisition of weapons to defend ourselves when the time comes.

I am not here to derail this thread but I am here to enlighten
many of us of the possibilities the eastern part of the
country can give to its people.
We have two access to the sea, though, its alittle far from the
sea but God knows why he did that for us. He knows that we
aren't lazy and we can do something about our situation
when the need arises. I know my people are deep-thinkers
and know that we're the light of Africa in many aspects. If
you look well at the Nigerian Map, you'll see that we have
direct access to the different parts of the country without
difficulty. Please note that this is a blessing in all
ramifications.
Please, I want you all to also understand, we don't have
governors who have large pool of cash to spend and our
states cannot get such loans from any part of the world
without our help. I need you all not to look at this things as
unnecessary but think deep and see the importance of this
message. What our governors are doing will only develop
our region alittle no matter how they try to develop it. The
sincere truth is that we're the only ones that can develop
this region from our collective efforts and forgetting the fact
that we're from different states.
What am I saying? No matter how huge the money needed
to create this seaport, we can bring it out from collective
effort and see our region develop in an astronomic pace. We don't need the ones in akwa-ibom nor the one in calabar.

We need the one in Abia and Imo states. Abia seaport being
a priority of the two. If this seaport is finished, by the special grace of God. The region will witness a development that will be very difficult to handle.
Please look at the map very well, if goods enter the region
through Abia, we stab the country in the stomach (at the
middle). Abia is connected to calabar, akwa ibom, Rivers,
Enugu, Ebonyi, Imo, etc. These states apart from Calabar are
less than 30 minutes drive from Abia state. Foreign investors
will see this has a ready-made market for them because
they can spread their tentacles within a short time span
within these states and make their monies fast. This will
make our region lure thousands of investor for long term
investments.
Abia state is better located than lagos. Lagos is at the edge of the country while Abia is at the middle where it can connect different states at thesame time. We should understand the importance of this analysis before throwing it into the trash can.
We should also think again, with the rising agricultural sector in the east, we're planning to start exporting our own
agricultural products through our region. This will reduce
loss of billions through accident and taxes in Lagos. Since its
our port, we will get a lot of discount when exporting these
products. What will be produced in the eastern region will
be exported through our own port. This will make business
easy and we will run our economy ourselves from our own
home. It will be very easy to export to Gabon, south africa
and other african countries close to us.
I am begging not because I'm a business man neither am I
from the government, we should look into this seaport
because its our eyes to the world. God never made the
mistake of giving us that life-line because he knows we will
need in future.
I want an eastern region where development will be evenly
distributed and nothing will said about our goods been
confiscated in wharf and our brothers running out of
business. It is imperative I say this now before it becomes,
"we should've done it" kind of situation.
keep this in mind, I am from Anambra state and Nanka to be precise. I am coming back to tell you what Anambra needs to do to destroy one state monopoly as been witnessed in this country.

Interesting...

Igbos have higher IQ and perform better academically than the rest of Black Race, According a Zimbabwean Researcher.

Excerpt from his Research work:

"Africans speaking Luganda and Krio did better than the
Chinese students in 2011. The igbo were even more
impressive given their much bigger numbers (and their
consistently high performance over the years, gaining a 100 percent pass rate in 2009!). The superior Igbo achievement on GCSEs is not new and has been noted in studies that came before the recent media discovery of African performance. A 2007 report on “case study” model schools in Lambeth also included a rare disclosure of specified Igbo performance (recorded as Ibo in the table below) and it confirms that Igbos have been performing exceptionally well for a long time (5 + A*-C GCSEs); in fact, it is difficult to find a time when they ever performed below British whites.
If these Nigerian groups really performed so well under the
years in question when the media started catching the
news, one would expect some names of their students to
be reported in the news among the best performing
students in the country. Statistically, if girls outperformed
boys and Igbos outperformed other ethnic groups in 2010,
one would expect an igbo girl to be among the top
performers in the country. In fact, according to a Daily Mail
report on the GCSE results of 2010, the best student in the
whole country was indeed a Nigerian girl, Chidera Ota. A
check on Nigerian names confirms that she is of Igbo
descent. Ota scored 15 A*s, higher than any Chinese, Indian or white student, and higher than any student from
prestigious elite schools like Eton College (she was at a
state funded selective high school for girls).
To put it into perspective, these results mean that the
children of black Africans (or at least West Africans) are not
only not scoring below the scores of low-IQ poor white
children, as Jensen’s calculations would predict, they are
even able to score above children of elite whites too (who
go to Eton college etc)..."

South East is almost similar size with Israel but the latter is self sufficient, they grow most of their foods on their rooftops and balconies because of paucity of land.

To be sincere with you Igbos are really investing in agriculture, Igbos have understood the need to be self sufficient, in no distance time the trailer loads of chicken from North will stop just like we have dominated the egg market in our land.

Gradually we will start building ranches for cows and open modern abbatoirs that will be hygienecally fit for us.

Let's atleast feed ourselves by supplying our daily needs at 40% Igbomade.

I cannot claim my stats are accurate but I think Ngwo town has more poultry farms than most Igbo towns. I can count at least 10 big farms with more than 20,000 birds dropping eggs daily, all for commercial income, especially at the hilly Enugu Ngwo villages. Phinomar and Ozokwo farms lead the pack, with more than 30 others.

I can count at least 10 big farms with more than 20,000 birds dropping eggs daily, all for commercial income, especially at the hilly Enugu Ngwo villages. Phinomar and Ozokwo farms lead the pack, with more than 30 others.

Poultry and fish farms are big time money spinners for those that know how to manage the birds to prevent infections.
I am glad our people are buying into it. i just hope we go the step further to begin setting up cold rooms to bag up the processed chicken in a good labelled bag and be able to transport it cheaply to distant markets outside the farm area. Even if they need to come together as cooperatives to build cold room storage so that they can jointly share the cost. This will indeed be the game changer for poultry and fish farmers.

Finding a way to preserve the fully grown chicken without feeding it is the secret to profit in the business. possible suggestions are;
1. Bag the whole chicken and deep freeze it in a freezer
2. Slice the chicken into parts and sell at meat markets or supermarkets
3. Use flour to make chicken nuggets and then freeze it and supply to supermakets. Homes only have to buy the bags and fry it a little to have hot sizzling chicken nuggets.
4. Make fagitas (Chicken Suya) and then bag it and freeze it up. Then sell to supermarkets. People will buy it and put in their oven briefly to have a sizzling well cooked Chicken suya at home when they want it.

All these suggestions will grow the down chain processing, reduce waste while setting up different agro based factories.

Food and lack of access to the sea/port is what killed Biafra, it's the same reason why people are running away and building castles in foreign lands. Until there is a viable port in Igboland, Igbo people won't come back and that's just practical.

Kindly remind me of the ports of Switzerland.. Not investing in the east by the easterners due to " lack of access to seaport" is a very lame excuse.
