I need help guys! I just installed tip drinkers in my battery cage and many of the nipples won't stop dripping water. I thought it's only supposed to drip water only if birds peck on it.

Hello house, I've been lurking here for quite a while. pls I need the house to enlighten me on this problem. I've raised two sets of broilers (500 each) but on reaching 4 weeks they start to shrink, lose appetite and pass green stools and die in droves. I've administered typhoid care, amoxitin but the problem persists. pls note I've given them all required vaccines and biosecurity measures observed. pls help, what drug should I give to prevent this occurrence. thanks

Sounds like a digestive problem. Green poop is indicative of bile from the liver caused mostly by inability to digest.

@phoenixfx. I think you need to look critically into your vaccination programe. Be sure you aren't getting sometiing wrong. Note also that the greenish feaces you observe may just be as a result of tbeir abstanance from food due to their inappetence. Remember that broilers normally pass out green feaces when starved for even few hours.

the cage I bought was 'fairly' used, the seller had the tips but never installed them. So the tips came with the whole package.

nope you can't use anti coccizy to cure CRD but the only drungs I can priscribe is tylodox extra with doxygen 20/20

Bro, that's fowl pox o. Treat quickly before it spreads. If you can't get medicated treatmeant. You can get bitter leaf and scent leaf called 'efinrin' in Yoruba. Squeeze out the juices, give to the birds to drink and rub on the affected parts.
N.B: before una begin ask my source, I'm a student of Uniben studying Animal Science and Prof. Nwokoro recommended it..thanks, wish you a successful production

yes, heard its terrible when it spills. I mix mine outside the pen, thats safer IMO. Also, for anticocci, I use embazine forte...seems reliable, I dont know prococ so cant say.
cowbell is still milk, you just need any milk to dilute the agents in the water or so, lol I used dano for my last set and they are still alive..so...

I as a farmer and on a personal level will still say 'compounding' because I compound my feed myself. The basic thing is knowing what percentage of crude protein and other nutrients your birds need and getting it for them at the recommended ratio.
