The Commander Kenya Army Lieutenant General Leonard Ngondi visited troops deployed in Lamu. He arrived at Manda Base at 0900hrs on Friday 23rd October, 2015 and received by the Rangers Regiment Commander Colonel Muhindi and Manda Base Commander Colonel Olekiswa.
After briefing by the Base Commander, the Commander Kenya Army addressed the soldiers where he emphasized on the need for unity among the KDF soldiers from the three services. “If you want to go fast, go alone but if you want to go far go together,” he said.
The Commander Kenya Army was also apprised on the Linda Boni multi-agency operation led by Regional Director of Operation Linda Boni Mr. Ole Leserian and County Commissioner Mr. Ndambuki after which he toured KDF deployment and other security agencies deployment in the area.
Mr. Ole Leserian was happy to inform the Commander Kenya Army that the local administration has been deployed in the area and the locals feel more secure.
