Meaning it wld be extremely difficult for a person to set up an heart surgical hospital (except if u want to loose) unlike dentistry.The surgical operation wld av to be carried by the government and subsidized with part of the money generated going to the government treasury. Unlike dent where u wld be incharge of ur business.

open heart surgery kor open mouth surgery ni. So if u av someone who urgently need heart surgery operation wld u advicr such to do it in Nigeria. Infact many of them wld prefer to go to abroad and india for such operation. If u specialise in such operation in Nigeria I doubt if u will see a single operation to perform for ten years. And if u decide to go practise ur profession in abroad, racism wld set in. As an average white man wld never allow a black to carry out such operation on him. I want to assure u dat dentistry is still the most patronise surgery in this country. Come to Oau dental hospital and see fot urself. Patients with swollen tongue, mouth etc coming to

high iQ.U are so funny. Hw will u say for 10 years there will not be patronage. For 30 years he will not even get a check up patient. Let alone the surgery. Most of then are jst making mouth. They normally end up specialising in pediatrics,obs and gyne.

If medicine is not d peak, then why do they all want to be seen as equal to medical doctors?A nurse don't want to be equal to a dentist but to a doctor, a pharmacist don't want to be equal to a dentist but to a doctor, a med lab scientist don't want to be equal to a dentist but to a doctor, even the dentist himself, want to be equal to s doctor. I've never seen a medical doctor start an unnecessary comparism between himself and a dentist, nurse or a med lab scientist. the only strength you please have is population. D dentistry is so prestigious that's why they admit few. Not plenty like medicine . And mind you go check d rate of change of Medicine to dentistry is increasing cos there is more money in cosmetic medicine which entails dentistry

Any Dental student that tries to compare him/herself with medical students doesn't deserve a place in dental school,he/she is displaying inferiority complex,,,Any medical student who tries to prove his/her superiority over Dental student is only short of information: superior on what basis??Doctors/Dentists work toward the same goals,Hence,They're all members of NMA.

Ok. Ok. M sorry sir. I didn't condemn dentistry though. In fact, I have much respect 4 d dental practitioners.

We are all shouting there is hatred in the health sector. This is the place the whole problem started from jst imaging somebody saying medical doctor are at the peak of the sector. Pple like this will not respect the nurses let alone the med lab scientist. And you want improvement in the sector.dnt forget in a hurry that without other allied health workers will are nothing as doctors. We cant do it all. Even we doctors have to specialize.pls let respect others. We are nothing without them.
