tanx everyone for ur replies.I asked dat question becus any medical doctor or students from 400l dat I asked for advice on hw to scale tru in d medical skul since I just got admission in medicine after graduating frm physiology dey always discourage me telling me to go for masters .Dey say d senior doctors wont allow d younger ones to grow or no money in d profession or d national health sector is filled wit hatred.I was tired so I decided to bring it here. But I hv passion for it so am going for it.tanx all.more advice needed on hw to scale tru med skul.
No matter how bad things were, someone has to do the job, and what we need now are people who have passion for the practice, keep the fire burning

i hate comparing. But when you downgrade someone profession without proof. I will react. An oral surgery can cost you nothing less than 300k the same goes with dental implantation. Meet a dentist and ask questions b4 coming here to Spill out trash

This forum isn't meant brag about professions nor to beliitle others'. However, if anyone comes up and tries to misinform the unsuspecting public just to make his profession more relevant, we educate ourselves. No derailing please....

lol really. I should ask you to check your google again so you can confirm. An average dentist earn more than d prime minister of the uk. Dentist tops the highest earnings in the US. Google it yourself. You think say nah beans to send person go dental school. D money used to train a dentist will send 10 phyisicians to medical school.
That right there is pure false information. Why cant you just appreciate your course without trying to compare wit MBBS? Just speaks volume on your inferiority complex.

Average salaries of jobs in the US from a reputable website:
Dentist --------->$230,000
Internal medicine physicians---->$250,000
General practice physicians----->$216,000

Average tuition fees in the US
Dentistry--------->$18,000
Medicine---------->$13,000

Thats def not ten-fold. Dont spread wrong infos

U dont like comparing yet u came onto a platform meant for discussing medicine and claimed dentists are richer and more successful. That's very childish.
Besides, oral surgeries more than 300k, that's very very much o, isn't it?
Especially for d acclaimed highest paid profession in d US!!!!!

Lol. Wrong. Haven't you heard of the NDA? Nigerian Dental Association. Medical students doesn't include all specialty in medicine as you said. Dentistry is a discipline on its own, hence the distinction between it and Medicine.

They don't regret, they may lament though simply because they are not appreciated in this country. Go to d developed nations and see how doctors live, some consultants can even afford private jets.
I studied in Nigeria, spent 9 yrs in school without repeating a class. Yet with d situation of things in this country, if I were to start all over again, Id still go for medicine.
You mean you spent 9 years in medical school?
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Millex(m): 10:44am On Nov 10, 2015
Guys there no need to argue as someone said ya'll are brothers. No matter how good a medical doctor is when it comes to matters that requires dental aid, the dentist is always the referred. Also the keep to not living a sad life is to just appreciate everyone's job, we all need dentist as well as we need medical doctor. The doctor will always go to a dentist when he has a tooth ache and all, the dentist will visit the doctor when he has need for medical aid. It's simple as that, the argument which is better, they all good but everyone has his place.
