mulattoclaro:can you swear with your destiny that you are from the south south? ![]() seriously what difference would it make if Igbos too voted en masse fro Buhari? would it had made Buhari more effective? this are issues that you should llok at in 2011 i routed for Buhari ahead of jonathan and campaigned vigorously for him but then, like Odumakin when GEJ set the ball rolling for re structuring Nigeria through the National conference, i had to overlook his many short comings because a re structured Nugeria would generate a faster growth. Even after another 16 years rule of the APC, without restructuring, we really wont have gone far. for now APC is built o Buhari not any concrete reality Oyegun and his fellow chietains with their families and friends are the ones who will experience economic change, that is how it will be i hope for a Nigeria WHERE JUST ABOUT ANYBODY CAN BE A COUNCILLOR, GOVERNOR OR EVEN PRESIDENT BASED ON THE CONTENT OF THEIR CHARACTER AND BROADNESS OF THEIR VISION |

ODUBEZE:Last I checked PMB 1st states visit was to Calabar in the SS! Is d SS not part of d South! U see my broda sentiment has a way of blinding sombdy to d trut and that is exactly why u forgot that PMB 1st states was to d SS! Am not attempting to convince u because seeing tins diff is a natural part of life! If Two pple watching same football match can disagree over whether or not penalty shud be awarded, u can then imagine oda areas like religion, tribalism and politics that entails much more controversy! How do we manage our areas of differences? This is wat tells how mentally evolved we re! |

Am a full blooded Igbo and this is my take on the Current protest for Biafra. Personally, I don't think we are ready for self Governance yet. I would have loved our people to join hands with the current government to uplift the nation while the whole Igbo race come together to strategize for an Igbo presidency. Why did I say so? Our leaders are dis United and they are not even in support of the movement. Our governors are still arguing on the appropriate venue to hold their meetings. While Okorocha insists on Owerri, the rest of the are insisting on Enugu-they don't agree. Are they the ones to provide leadership for us when we eventually get Biafra. Even Ohaneze which I understand has factions has advised against the protest. My take is that we are not yet ready for self determination. The people protesters should THINK TWICE on the consequences of their actions. It's not just about going about protesting, they should sit down and think. In my sincere opinion, what our people should do is to convene a stakeholders meeting that will see all political, religious, sociocultural, traditional etc. Leaders of Igbo extraction come together under one roof to discuss about the fate of the Igbo race and how to unite us-we are too divided to make progress politically. In such a conference, we will strategize on how to better our political lot and achieve Igbo presidency. We need to work together with ethnic Groups and parties to achieve this vision and then correct all forms of marginalisation against us. That is my take and I think the right time for such a conference is now. |

49cents:what will I gain from lying about my region? I'm a proud Edo man though my mom isn't Edo but my dad is and I'm proud to be a true son of the Niger Delta. Some of your fellow igbos here have even tagged me as a yoruba man cos I don't support their Biafra pipe dream. Let me categorically make it clear that I don't give a damn about what you or any igbo man has to say. Igbos are very greedy. They never asked for biafra when Gej was president. They occupied the best position in government more than the S/Southerners whom their son was the president. Why are they now complaining? They're even threatening the sovereignty of the country with their uncalled call for secession. I just hope I'm alive to witness the genocide of that cursed tribe once and for all. |

ALISMILE:Read my post again! Don't pick one out of many! I don't hate PMB but I don't like his leadership style. They are two different thing! Given another opportunity I still will not vote for him because he has not impress me. Its a personal decision which others are equally entitled to! deal with it. |

superstar1:AM NOT PRO BIAFRA BUT AM IGBO IF YOU COME WITH CASH TO BY LAND IGBOS WILL SEND TO YOU AND WE DONT HAVE OMONILE THINGS HERE IGBOS WILL BUY SWAMPS IN LAGOS AND PAY FOR IT. ITS NOT LIKE YORUBAS GIVE DISCOUNTS TO IGBOS IGBOS ARE, BY DNA AND CULTURE, ENTREPRENEURIAL AND THESE MOVES THEM FAR AND WIDE TO RUN THEIR BUSINESS BUT WHAT IF FIND CONTRADICTORY IS THIS: YOU DESPISE WHAT YOU THINK IGBOS REPRESENT; YOU TELL THEM TO THEIR FACE THAT NO IGBO MAN WILL EVER RULE NIGERIA BUT WHEN THEY SAY THEY WANT OUT OF NIGERIA YOU GET ANNOYED AND UPSET!!!!! IF YOUR TROUBLESOME NEIGHNOUR TELLS YOU HE WANTS TO PACK OUT WOULDNT YOU BE HAPPY? WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU WANT FROM THE IGBIS? |

disloman:the wealth of any nation is her people. African most successful economy, most politcal stable, one of the strongest currency etc still remains the landlocked BOTSWANA. Goggle and read about Botswana lol. Japan, taiwan etc without any thing. Believe in God and dont trust in him. Is not landlocked by WISDOM/INGUINITY WITHIN. You know that they are landlocked but you cant do without them. |

Politics without ideology. When was the last time a Democrat became a Republican? I thought GMB said not to accept these people? Stay in your party or quit politics. Jumping into APC's ship simply means your being in PDP all these while was never about service to anyone but yourself. Like I always said, APC should only keep accepting these turncoats at their own detriment. |

mulattoclaro:OK FINE If igbos are very greedy like you say and now they want to leave Nigeria why should upset other tribes? shouldn't everyone be happy that the troublesome tribe is finally leaving Nigeria for good? instead what Biafra gets is opposition and anger from other tribes? i can bet you that if the North says they want to leave Nigeria, the entire south will be very happy or if the south south is allowed to leave Nigeria wont you guys jump at it? but you cant because you guys arent either united or you are to cowardly to fight for your God given rights to self determination and ny friend that is appalling mark it anywhere, once this Oil is dried up or of no value, the North who always preach "wan Nijeria" will leave am igbo but not seccessionist |

benzion72:Nah,.boss!! Many countries have many of their citizens outside either married to other nations or doing business. Does Nigeria today not having many of its citizens doing business in Ghana, SA and elsewhere some even married there. So what will be wrong if Biafrans are married to Nigerians and even have properties in Nigeria and Ghana? |
| Re: South-east Committed Political Blunder –oyegun by 49cents(m): 11:01am On Nov 19, 2015 |
ALISMILE:it will take a systematic, non violent agitation by the people to achieve that; this is where IPOB is missing it big time time, that is why am not in support though am Igbo and i believe in the freedom of self determination even the yorubas will progress far better in a restructured Nigeria than in this current system; what the Nirth is doing is handing in sub subservient positions to any willing southern ally; tapping into their Human resources something which they have in abundance thanks to the eductional vision of Awolowo Now Fashola and Fayemi and Kemi Adeosun will work hard to fix Nigeria of which 70 oercent is North................. |

I have Always said Nigerian politicians do not know what democracy is, only in an uncivilised country will you hear such statements from a government of official, so it is now a crime to vote for a candidate of your choice... |
| Re: South-east Committed Political Blunder –oyegun by Msauza2: 11:03am On Nov 19, 2015 |
Biafra will not aim to take properties from anyone. Biafra will continue to have igbos in diaspora including those who will be having properties in Nigeria and they will be gladly granted citizenship of Biafra. Once Biafra is realised everyone who has a property and businesses in Biafra or married in Biafra will be granted permanent citizenship. |

IGBOPRINCE:Caveat: Don't take this as a tribal slur. The reason people are hammering on the land-locked thingy is because the current Igbo is largely seen as a trading people. I.e, they need the ports to import products since most products sold are largely manufactured outside of the country. No one is saying the Igbos can't manufacture their own products, but that won't happen in a day or for years to come. Wise thing to do would be for some of these problems to be solved before the clamour for a separate country. You don't want your new country to be entirely dependent on another (Nigeria) for survival, do you? Because that will just be a colonialism of sorts, worse than what you were running from in the first place. |

ODUBEZE:Wit due respect to u, I ll neva attempt to convince u to vote any political party. My point here is that u attempted to win southern sympathy by sspreading falsehood and inciting sentiment by saying that PMB only sends Osinbajo to d South while he attends to the North! And I repeat ones again that PMB 1st state visit was to Calabar, in SS. When u pple start to objectively criticise this govt we will know! |

size40:go and sit down, you can never be a SS person. Mention a single SS man that ownes an oil well in the nation. 84% alone is just to the hausas. 13% derivates that SS is is enjoying was fought for the ss by a se man, Ekwueme, this was vehemently opposed by by that your nigerians you are clamouring for. The SS got their strongest support majorly from SE and at thesame time, it was opposed by other zones in the country. You can never be a SS man and still believe in nigeria. Moreover, the SS you are talking about today is made up diverse ethnic groups with the IGBOS AND IJAWS the majority. Lol. There are few ethnic groups that are not sure of where they belong: benin and other smaller ethnics, itshekiri, isoko, urhobo etc will decide where they will be. |

Oyegun, Below is the result of 2011 election. What did the NE and NW commit . APC is a big joke . The election was no issue in 2011 , but now if you don't vote for a candidate and you are from the SE , it is a blunder. To imagine that the president of a country admitted in Washington that a section of his country will not be treated equally because of election result is very shameful and immature. Hell would have been let lose if GEJ made such statement after 2011 elections.

tonychristopher:I agree that the time is ripe to have an Igbo President, but tell us why we should vote for one with all these Biafra thingy going on. Nobody wants a president that will come and divide the country. I believe the Igbo can produce the President if they will win the heart of the remaining tribes just like the case of Jonathan in 2011. You can't continue to threaten Nigeria's unity and expect to be voted for, rather appeal to peoples' emotions, build bridges, unite us behind your candidate and show us you mean well for the country and you are sure going to get the votes. |
