Ahha my brother please I'd like for you to speak Ekiti to me whenever you can on this thread.
I'm trying to be as fluent in Ekiti as I am in Yoruba. My grandma sabi complain about losing my Ekiti dialect, even though she can speak central Yoruba herself grin grin

I follow activities and trend closely...
Fayose is on a league of his own, loved by masses, hated by few elites, he knows and he's presently dealing with them with a carrot/stick approach.
The man is actually trying to match words with action while also running mouth as usual...but we love him!

I'll put up more details about him and his government subsequently...
Okun O!

How is he planning to generate revenue? I mean, what is he actually doing besides parading his toutishness in the market place?

You mentioned that you're not pro APC and it seems that you're paying close attention to the Kogi circus.

Who do you support in this case scenario and why is it important for Audu to beat Wada?

Yea, I kinda like him...
You see, no one can successfully rule Ekiti without adding elements of ''toutishness''... we are too stubborn for our own liking grin
He's actually undertaking some projects now that if completed will boost revenue generation.
He's even remodelling the palace of your Ewi Ado and also constructing an all purpose ultra modern market directly in front of the palace...
Tell your folks to take it easy on him, the man dey try impress.

But seriously, we can frustrate the life out of our leaders with numerous petitions and petitioning!
It became so pronounced during the days of Adebayo but mellowed down when Fayose came in with his gra-gra politics grin

Sincerely, I care less. That is APC's headache.

Why on earth will the party or even INEC not ask for certificate of sound health from contestants?

1. You're welcome.. wink

2.Then there would be no contestant...

That certificate of fitness is discriminatory, death comes in many ways...

But we don't know what's down there. We can't begin to fathom it.

I thought about this before I placed my post but I decided to leave it open in order to learn.

I'll read further on your submission.

Once you know that the Oniru is Ijebu, that'll tell you how far the Ijebu coastline extended pre-Nigeria. Even Lekki was given to Portuguese (or was it Dutch? - I need to check my archives for which of the two) traders in the 17th or 18th century or so by the Awujale for trade cos the Ijebus had Epe and Ikorodu.

There's a book on google scholar on it. I can't remember the name now but I've posted screenshots from the book before during numerous discussions in the culture section back in the day, under my old handle.

I think we should create a day where Yoruba folks from Kogi and Kwara will take charge of the thread and talk about their respective states and their plights, while we ask them questions. What do you think?

With that, they'll be able to educate those of us who don't know much about them and their states. I'll see if I can find the thread where I saw loads of Yorubas from Kogi repping Yoruba, and copy all the handles - so we can tag them. Then the likes of: mandarin, yemaldo, PrincessJaneDoe, and tevinsolt.

I am actually from Osun state smiley

Not that I'm bent on getting a wife on here, you know. I just think the possibility should not be ruled out.

Social gatherings? I don't like parties, you know.

Church? I'm an Atheist.

The scouting continues. grin

Lool. I'm a good guy - I don't break hearts. I just spread love the Brooklyn way like the Notorious B.I.G. I'm forever cool with all the chics I've ever linked. Shyte, I've got sisters - so I gat treat every chic like my sisters, you get me? grin

I swear I remember the flat head chic you picked from here. I was on that thread and it started as a tribal war before the before you started talking about ya qualifications...and that led to famzing. Alie? If it's that one - I was also on the thread clowning them as well, but I was just LOL-ing and we did chat on the thread.

I don't do parties as well. But every summer, I get invites to loads of parties via Uncles, family members, friends, acquaintances etc. I just pick the ones I know would be live and where my crew would be present. We never stay in the hall proper - we just go there, get food, give whoever is doing it gifts, and jam outside drinking and having banter. And when the chics come outside or we spot any nice ones - mandem just move to them and do what it do. Trust me, you get nice chics easily at weddings.

I think the plan in Kogi was for Faleke to be the Deputy, since Audu could have only done 1 term,. It would push the stakes of the Okun people higher

But as it stands now I think Faleke should be given the ticket with a 41,000 advantage in a 49,000 votes left. Faleke only needs 5,000 votes from there to win

The strategy they can use is for Faleke to name one of the sons of Audu as the deputy so as to benefit and carry along the Abubakar Audu political machinery of over 25yrs

Or he should name an powerful APC politician from Dekina LGA as his running mate to balance out the effect of Idris Wada

^^^ Makes sense.

Yorubas in Kogi are like the third largest group, it's better to thread carefully. But whichever land is ours, is ours. And we shouldn't hesitate to show our spleen when need be.

If this is Tinubu's plan... then kudos. But I doubt it.
