To me JAMAICA QUEENS is among the Boroughs in NEW YORK CITY.
Jamaica is a middle-class neighborhood in the New York City borough of Queens. The neighborhood is part of Queens Community Board 12.
i think Jamaica queens is not an advice place for Family vacation, shopping and sight seeing for visa purpose.though it has some tourist attractions.you abandon the real tourist cities in NEW YORK and decided to visit a county.
why not say you will be visiting NEW YORK CITY,NEW YORK and list the tourist places in JAMAICA QUEEN and add the major tourist places in NEW YORK CITY to it.you abandon NEW YORK CITY, that has one of the best record for vacation, shopping and sight seeing and decided to visit
JAMAICA QUEEN few record of sight seeing.

Hello good day everyone ..pls I need suggestions and advices from people that has been in similar situations on what can be done .i got my self a return ticket for 2 weeks for an examination.but at the moment the examination has been rescheduled to late January as against my ticket which was extended for me till December 9th.pls I will like to know if it's possible to get a refund for the ticket or if I can sell this return ticket back to Nigeria to some one if possible at a discount.because the agent that got it for me is saying that after the expiry date I might not be able to use it
Mods pls help me so I don't loose out on my money

Hi everyone and you my friend Lady G. We left Lagos on 7th with KLM and transited at Amsterdam. My flight from Amsterdam to New yoke was different from my family flight and so when i went to check in, I was really really drilled. I don't know why they did that but it was an eye opener. In fact, after the drilling, I went in search of my wife and daughter since we were not together then to collect some document but before I could find them, my flight has finished boarding and I missed it.

Well, from what I know, u don't need to re sell it to someone. U can extend your ticket departure date by another one or two months while u pay a token to the airline. Just go to the airline desk/office in the US where u re and tell them u wanna extend your date. I think u pay approximately 70$ or so, unless u don't plan to return back to nigeria
However, I hope the ticket isn't a promo ticket

I had my interview this morning and it would be totally unfair for me not to post my transcript after having gone through the thread for guidance. So here goes:

VO: Good morning ma'am
Me: Good morning
VO: Please pass me your documents

Me: For tourism
VO: I am sorry?

Me: I intend to visit the Empire State Building, Times Square, The Statue of Liberty, definitely see a broadway show and do some shopping
VO: How long do you intend to be in New York?
Me: 13 days
VO: Have you travelled out of Nigeria before?
Me: Yes I have
VO: Where to?
Me: UK, Ghana, Pakistan, Kenya and Dubai (some more than once)
VO: Why do you travel so much?
Me: It's the nature of my job. I am Bleep at Bleep and it entails a lot of travel
VO: Were all your trips on business?
Me: No. My trips to XX and XX were for tourism

Honestly, I did not hear the rest. I was just happy for God's favour. I had heard people say it's hard when you are young and unmarried but like the gurus on here would always say - the most important thing is proving to the VO that you have no intention of absconding if granted the Visa. None of my documents were checked, not even my international passport whilst I was in front of the VO.

On a lighter note, some people do themselves a great disservice - starting from that queue outside. The lady in front of me was with 2 of her kids all garbed in winter jackets. Seriously? In this harmattan? Abi that is 'dressing the part'? She kept yelling at her daughter in Yoruba and English -"if you take off that jacket again, I would beat the hell out of you". I am no VO but in my mind I am thinking this has got to be the joke of the century. Or the guy who says he is a businessman in front of the VO and then proceeds to explain how borehole is linked to cement - seriously? After the epistle, the next thing I heard was "I'm sorry..."

VOs dey try - They must have a lot of rib cracking tales to tell.

That's a pity. Amsterdam puts all US travelers through a questioning process. Hopefully you have been able to contact the airline and get put on another flight.

Yea, I was able to contact them and got to fly with my family on the next flight to New yoke.
At new yoke poe, it was an easy ride. Just two questions. Where are going to and how long are you staying and then 6 months visa for each of us.

Yes. Your travel history can be verified. How? Technology and Background checks.why would u want to jeopardise your visa chances of success but add ban join? Keep on reading. People with absolutely no travel history get visas please.
Even if u get refused, u stand a better chance next time because u won't be encumbered by lies told
