I think the OP needs to adjust and be more open minded lil bit. Not trying to change his traits of personality but improving on his quiet trait for a long lasting r/ship. Even if not with the girl, but atleast with next girl.
And believe me, chronic quiet guys has the more potentiality of being cheated on.
A piece of my thought.

You are right man on the cheating part, really if the lady's need is just communication then cool. You know they sometimes don't really say what they mean or even mean what they say.

But I was a different person around her, too careful, too quiet, I say Yes to everything, I don't talk.. There's always that awkward silence, she got bored and DUMPED me(I typed 'dumped' in uppercase because I was fúcked up after the whole thing).. So one time, I invited her to a party at a friend's place, she couldn't believe what she saw that evening.. She saw ME flutter like a wild bird! After the party, she asked why she never saw that side of me..

transformed into someone that you're not due to nerves, not wanting to screw things up by being an around the clock clown or whatever the reason may have been in your situation. However, when you became your true "charming" self, she saw something she liked. The OP's case is different from yours, because it sounds like this is who he is, the quiet guy. And that's not what the girl in question seems to be looking for. Can't say I blame her, because jeez, I know the type & every small conversation with them is like trying to open a tin of jam with a butter knife Leaves you feeling like you're trying too hard. Communication becomes such a draining task, because they're so unforthcoming & it becomes boring.

He either needs to come out of his shell a bit or let her go. I honestly understand how she feels. She must be the type that values communication above all else & when it's not there, then she rather not bother.

Coming out of his shell would be like swimming without getting into the water, that's if your theory about his 'quietness' being inborn or sth is true.. But anything's possible, even swimming without water..

Letting her go is just being extreme.. He can change or rather, swim without water.

My own man is the quiet type and will hardly go out to hang around. Doesn't talk much too. But before I visit he would download funny videos, new songs just to make our stay interesting. So op, I suggest you do that too. Before you know It she will stop noticing that you don't talk much.

Nobody wants to date someone that's boring believe me.
Once dated a quiet girl like that for 3weeks when I was in school, it felt like the longest relationship of my life Coz she was drop dead boring.

So guy if I were you ehn, I'll do all that I can to change Coz if you don't your next gf will leave you for the same reason also.
