You should be the last person to write this honestly. Tell me you havent gotten lost in Munich a number of times. I know you too well. tongue

Looooool....

Getting lost in Munich has more to do with the advanced transportation network therein than my poor German language skills or lack thereof.

It may not be entirely true that it was due to the advanced Transport Network. In order to save myself the disgrace of constructing a poor sentence to mimic their announcements i will ´leave that aside. However, if you listen very well, you will understand that you actually got lost because you didnt understand a thing that was announced in the train.
Let me give you my latest language mumu Display of last week depsite that i even grab many words here and there. A route i follow quite well was to be repeated again, not knowing that there is a slightly different arrangement the early morning train i took it. Na so i Balance two legs for train for my journey from Fröttmanig to sendlinger Tor, at Münchner Freiheit, something i had a poor grasp of was spoken very fast over the Train, i still balance like say na me buy the Train, until every Soul in my own couch left. To me, it was good riddance because i didnt have to deal with the reeking breath from the residue of their midnight beer drinking escapades, not knowing the joke was on me until the train took me to a tight dark tunnel and parked (it was an Underground train by the way) and that was it. them don park train and i didnt know when it was going to move again, faced with the reality that i could sleep there for hours in a place where the air was in short supply, na so sweat grip me. five minutes later, the train conductor, in his attempt to changed the direction of the train saw me and told me to be calm.
No worry, you just land, you never see anything. at least for now, i'm sure you didnt bother reading the letters DB and AOK sent to you for obvious reasons.

Top of the morning to you wonderful people.
I got a report from uni-assist yesterday concerning my application (MSc biotechnology) to BTU Cottbus). It reads that my application can't be forwarded to the school because I've not yet attained the necessary undergraduate degree to qualify for the graduate program. My undergraduate course is microbiology and I'm sure its one of those courses that qualifies one for MSc biotechnology.

Also in the report, it was kindly noted that when my bachelor's degree (8semesters in Nigeria) was converted to German bachelor, it's 6semesters. Stating that 7-semester program is required to qualify one for the graduate program.

At this point, are they saying 8-semester program in Nigeria is equivalent to 6semesters in Germany? Was anyone in this dilemma before? What should be done now? Should I request that my application be forwarded to the school that way?

@Eke40seven, @phucado, @Hollyatan and everyone please come to my rescue.

Prompt and critical responses are needed please.

I stressed the language part for sometime here but some would come with their theory of English city bla bla bla, i dey laugh in pidgin.

My point even: Surly, you would get through your course of study in English but don't forget ,when you are searching for a Job in Germany, the language aspect would play a very big role and that's,where the cards start to fall.
Don't forget there's a huge competition out there. undecided
Cheers!

Yeah! Deutsch is spoken in every city, every town, everywhere in Germany. No one should come here with a mindset of any English speaking area. This is not an English speaking country.
A word is enough for the wise.

I found a site which help to improve ones spoken and listening abilities in German. They have podcast and lesson guides in Pdf. The lessons are quite easy to understand, you can visit their site and see.

I asked a question and everyone turned a blind eye and we are busy conversing about how important it is to learn your receiving country's language. Its the same as asking if its OK for one to eat. Be it for integration and economical reasons its imperative you learn the language, its not optional...Its even easy with the Duolingo app...
Again I asked a question about the 100L transcript for undergraduate admission that I had a a GPA of 2.77 but with two carryovers. Is that good enough and when can i start applying for winter semester admissions 2016

What would you have me do? I was trynna learn something from you guys and no one seems to be aiding me at all. No one is obligated to help me I know that but we are here agreeing and disagreeing on the same issue. I believe the issue of language has been answered time and time again. I haven't been to Germany but you can't hope to go to a foreign country whose first language isn't English and hope to be comfortable without learning the language. It doesn't matter the city,I believe it's a necessity and when I mentioned Duolingo it as intended to help prospective learners of the language cos it takes a fun approach to learning

It is funny, that you can conclude that bsc microbiology qualifies you definitely for Msc biotechnology. This is totally wrong. Bsc biotechnology qualifies you for Msc biotechnology not bsc microbiology. Biotechnology as a whole discipline is technique. And I do not thing there is a school in Nigeria that does biotechnology as a whole discipline. Haven't said that. My advice, please try biological sciences. You could apply to unigiessen, agrobiotechnology. It will be accepted since it is not a whole biotechnology training but just part.

It is good to know your school offer the course ,what are you being sorry about? The next thing would be for you to let him know that he is qualified for Msc biotechnology with a bsc microbiology. So he could inform uni-assist.ev and ask that his documents be forwarded. Alles gut.

Learn German for your own sake! you might shit yourself if you fail. Make a huge effort to learn it in Nijja. It will save you money and help you in your day to day activities no matter how little you grab. Moreover, you will have no time to do whatever language course when you get here because the workload in school is more than too much and do not forget you may want to work. (speaking from personal experience, maybe somebody else somewhere finds its easy).
So many are frustrated here in Bremen because they cannot fit into most job opportunities.
There are jobs but forget most of them if you have no German knowledge. If you be street man you go do agidi follow dem bumper2bumper. Dem no born satan well for your matter but If you be Ajebutter, kindly ask your parents to double the normal block account money for your case because after only 3months you begin see 5ksomething as your available balance.
Someone I know went for a packaging interview and the Interviewer fired away in German. PACKAGING OO!. He lost and went home.

KCIANO! pm me your contact naa. Haba! Na so you wan shun your guy forever for Europe? forgetting wat we passed tru together that night. What if I bcom President in the future? na so you go loose your contract oo lol.
Lets keep in touch dude. No one can tel tomorrow's story today.
