DOCTORPRESH:
My dear medicos, has any of you ever been in my shoes? I need advice and a little motivation to pull through this.. I just got admitted into Biochemistry in DELSU and I still wanna do Medicine, I want to reapply via UTME because chances of switching are very very slim (almost impossible) here in DELSU. I got admitted quite late into the session, lectures have gone quite far and I'm trying get a sexy CGPA (in case of switching) and a good Jamb score to give me a good chance to achieve my dreams.. Did any of you here get into medicine after being admitted into another course?
Advice please....
Yea. I've been in your shoes. All you need do is stay focused and let your passion guide you through. My first year GP was very OK and I still got medicine on merit in UNN. It wasn't easy I must say but with God all things are possible!.

are medical graduates from state university allowed to work in federal hospitals........ are federal university medical graduates more preferred to state university medical graduates ( AAU) during employment in hospitals like UCH, LUTH, OAUTH
Whether federal, state or private uni. A doctor is a doctor and u all get licensed to practice by MDCN. You all have equal chances of working anywhere. It all depends on the individual and God's favour.

Youngwoman, stop spoiling lautech 's market now, seriously the worst is over, only the old students have suffered, the new ones would enjoy

Moreso, the calendar is still 6yrs, it's the strike and the crisis that usually make it bad smiley

abeg chill!

lautech is a very slow school.. I assume medicine calendar isn't the same as other Depts..
no one here is talking about their accreditation problem which caused some delays to the old students. I refer to their overall academic calendar.

now we were comparing about two schools calendar.. I don't see how I'm badmouthing lautech by picking ui as the best, when its fact .. I'm a student there!

Lasu won't pick a candidate that selected them as second choice for medicine, then I think Jamb has stopped second choice, it's now uni, poly, College of Edu, not certain tho

If u really want to get into mbbs pick ui.
Merit quota is more than 92 percent.
Transparent to the core 137 were picked on merit out of a total no of 147.

The post utme subjects is same with jamb subjects.
The cutoff mark is gotten from your post jamb scores only.

So not maths, or general knowledge or the sorts? So the jamb score whether 200 or 280 doesn't count for much?
