Simple logic, put yourself in banks shoes after wining an award your best friend get on stage to tell the world that someone else is more deserving of the award without mentioning your name. I bet you will clap for that fellow and go home happy. Why is thinking so hard for this generation; must we allow emotion to becloud our judgement and good reasoning.

I think the writer has done justice to the case and the case to me is close. Olumide started it.

In every industry there is something called professional respect--the respect you accord another practitioner of your profession. You are automatically expected to rep and protect each other. Olamide flouted those unwritten rules by going on stage to say what he did. Why couldn't he simply leave the hall and express himself in a professional manner? Oh let me guess; because he is from the street abi? Since when did being street become something to aspire to? Which is not to say that i do not respect and admire those who have found themselves forced to live on the streets by no choice of their own.

Don Jazzy could have chosen to ignore Olamide which i think would have been my course of action, but perhaps he felt insulted and gave in to anger. Whichever way you want to look at it, Olamide misbehaved by doing what he did and Don jazzy was entitled to feeling offended. And as for saying that He (Olamide) didn't mention anyone's name, he didn't have to because the implicit insult was explicitly expressed.

At the end of the day, the two artists and their camps will likely benefit from the increased media hype. Beef has always been one of the top marketing strategies used in music.
