All this tribalist and ethnic people rooting for olamide and lil kesh... yall really claim to love them and claim to be street people yet y'all can't even vote them... and those that are learned spent time and campaigned with their fans and the fans voted for him, now u want him to be stripped of the award and given to who has no votes?? spare me all this blushes

Olamide can be popular but when he's nominated alongside vic o for an award and vic o get more votes it should be awarded to olamide?? Cos he's more popular?? #fuckthatshit....

Y'all yoruba hypocrites should Gerarahere mehn tryna justify trash
Continue to fan ember of ethnicity here and pretend as if you ain't. Can't you understand that opinions differ? Olamide's rant was irresponsible and unnecessary in an orrganized meeting like that. Please stop mentioning a tribe here as if their behaviour is synonymous to the Olamide's. Any fan who chooses to follow him do so at their own choice. Can't you get that?

@op, in fact forget all that one. olamide's diehard fans have refused to see beyond their noses on this matter. when an award was given to Reekado and Olamide climbs on stage saying Lil Kesh deserves the award, they expect Don jazzy to overlook the affront.
what's more painful to me is the disrespect shown to Adekunle Gold, instead of ur record label boss to congratulate you on the award you just won, he collects the mic from you and says your award belongs to Lil kesh. what Idiocy!!!
As in thank you very much @kenny091 for highlighting the adekunle Gold "part" seems pple are more keen on the "jabs" thingy. "Let's be sincere, adekunle Gold, this award doesn't belong to you lil kesh is our next rated" like Wtf is adekunle not a ybnl soldier? I know his genre of music is different but that speech is just outrageous the guy just dey smile for stage?

His die hard fans wont see anything wrong with the insult. It was the insult that made Donjazzy to react.
Rather than insult people grandmothers cos of an award, come and collect the key.
A suggestive approach.
very suggestive. I am a big fan of his, and his rants won't change that, but he goofed. Alomo na bastard sha cry

Keep your mouth shut if wisdom has become a mirage to you. Don Jazzy or whatever is called is a stupid and senseless baby who needs to be taught on how to handle and manage simple situation such as what we had at Headies yesterday.

As an adult, there are things you overlook with ease and smile instead. You smile not cos you are stupid but cos you are an adult.

I remember when we were growing up back in the days, if you pick a fight with a friend/classmate simply cos he aired his opinion without mentioning your name, you are in deep shiit. Like our elders usually say, give him room for your name to be mentioned before taking any action. Even at that, try and see if the aggrieved fellow/friend/classmate is making sense or not....

Olamide is allowed to air his opinion without being apologetic about it. It's left for whatever is called Don Jazzy to either ignore him since his name or any of his artists were not mentioned.

He is older than Olamide and ought to have acted his age.....

abeg tell those brain dead retards with attenuated reasoning faculty o.

Firstly, I don't know why we can't express our opinions or respond to others without using insults. It's the attitude Olamide portrayed and I see why many people support him because they would have done the same.

Nothing justifies his actions. He acted like a jack ass. Olamide wasnt actually referring to him, he never mentioned his name. He ddnt say reekado wasnt worth it, he was referring to the management for being biased. He only expressed himself because his boy wasnt given a fair chance and the so called boss took it upon himself out of what i call an act of show off and pompousness to go on stage and utter the most embarrassing statement to a fellow celebrity. We are talking about olamide's ego na. I ddnt expect anything less from the acclaimed street king. And i am not even an olamide fan. The fact needed to be said. #Yawns

Now, I like to analyse situations in 2 ways. First put myself in the shoes of the protagonist and then decide what is the right or the wrong thing to do.

Let's start with Olamide. If I was in his shoes I would also have felt bad because Lil Kesh might never get another year like this to win prestigious awards.

If I was in his shoes I would also have mentioned my disappointment that my protege didn't win an award that I thought he deserves.

That's where the similarity stops. Considering that another of my boys was getting an award I won't have ranted at anyone. I would have congratulated Adekunle Gold warmly. I would only have spoken about Lil Kesh in passing. As a big bro I would have spoken to him one on one and let him know that he shouldnt let the award loss affect his output.

In fact Reekado acted more like a big bro to Kesh than Olamide did

If I was Don Jazzy, I would also have felt insulted by Olamides reaction. In my anger I would probably have said more than Don Jazzy said.

Does that make it right? No. Perhaps he was wrong and should have let it pass as people said. As the older of the two he should apologize to those who felt betrayed by his reaction since it was done in a moment of anger

Sorry I do not understand yoruba much. To me Jazzy acted like one, Olamide acted more like a coward and scared pained boy, if you watch the video and listen to how Jazzy handled the matter or where dia, u will understand better, bottom line is, the both had issue before that day, no doubt about that.

How can you say that olamide was referring to the organisers when it was people ( and not the organisers) that voted for the artistes?

Why didn't he come back to diss don jazzy there and then since he is the street king? The coward didnt confront don jazzy at the venue but had to go home ,log into twitter and start mouthing off ?/such cowardice?

You guys are truly dumb. The kind of music you listen to ,says a lot about you. You see why you dump kids aren't the leaders of tomorrow?

in my own opinion, he never mentioned don's name. Nothng warrants degrading a fellow celebrity on stage in front of the whole world. He pricked his ego na. He is supposed to act like the don he is and let it slide.. I strongly blif badoo was referrng to d management. Even if at all he meant to diss d mavins crew, he sha ddnt mention any of there name so d damage was minimal. Don reply only added petrol to a burning fire. He obviously misunderstood olamide.
I agree that Don Jazzy's response was wrong especially as his response was an indirect insult to Olamide.

"Egbon Olamide, if you want the award come and collect it" is better than "Egbon Olamide, if you want the car come and collect it".
the latter is a bit below belt and insinuates that na Car be Olamide problem.

but like i said before, Olamide's initial rant was way overboard and it will be hyprocrisy to criticize a reaction without crticizing even more the wrong that fuelled the reaction.

if there was a misunderstanding, it was from Olamide not realizing it was by voting.
