The freedom of self expression should be upheld irrespective of cultural differences and if we in our overzealous nature towards the things of God and basing our moral standing on high moral value then I think it is important to allow the same God to fight for himself but if we insist on hanging homosexuals we should as well hang adulterers and fornicators after all they are all immoral sexual sins.

Mpho, a mother-of-two, is an ordained Episcopal priest. She was previously married to Joseph Burris, with whom she had her 2 children.



The Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation confirmed that she married her partner in a small civil ceremony. This is both Tutu and Furth’s second marriage.


In a statement, the foundation says the couple will have a wedding ceremony in Cape Town in May this year. Furth is a professor in paediatric infectious diseases at the Vrije University in Amsterdam.

Sir, as an African Statesman it is expected of Desmond Tutu to uphold the African values, which is not in conformity to homosexuality. While I recognise his right to his decision, I find it awkward and disappointing that he will tow the path of homosexuality at a point where Africans are agitating for the return of some of our fundamental values as africans. I wasn't speaking from the religious perspective.

Before you buy insult Desmond Tutu, this doesn't look like a wedding ceremony! The fact that she is a lesbian doesn't change the fact that she is his daughter.
