I don't agree with Op. Genuine love requires the fear of God. True love doesn't involve two people but three;God,man and woman. God has a place in every relationship but man failed to realise that;If husband and wife base their love life on the fear of God it can be termed LOVE.

I think it's the overly romanticized pic of love that has got you confused. The unconditional love farce. You want to see Cinderella's happily ever after in reality, innit?

Well, think of love as a flowering plant. It's existence and survival is very much conditional. After being planted, it needs to be watered constantly or it withers instead of blossoming.

Your argument is that if it withers, it was never a plant. Does that even sound reasonable to you?

You have said it all love is a continuous and it is built on patience kindness humility and all other good virtues it doesn't just come and it doesn't just fade like that people looses their virtues due to circumstances and that is how the love dies gradually doesn't mean it wasn't there

There is the Agape love... This is the Godly love. The kind of love shown to us by God. This is eternal love. There are more explanation but I may just stop at dis juncture. The truth is most people mistake love for affection,lust and infatuation. Seriously whenever I hear or see a marriage crashing, I ask myself, where is their first love demonstrated by these statements "I couldn't sleep, eat, or work without you by my side" , "I miss your presence every time" ,"you're my life" ,"my life is nothing without you"... etc, probably it wasn't actually a real love but lust/infatuation.

let me share a story with you. one day i went to buy something with a female colleague after which i bought an airtime of 1500 to buy a data from MTN. the girl was like hey how can you use ur money and buy credit cant you call your boyfriend to send u a recharge card

dt she can never use her money and buy credit. i told her that she shld try and b independent for once so that her boyfriend wont b detecting her life..imagine a boy calling u to come spend the weekend in his house simple because he spends on you

now i hv never begged a guy for a recharge card since i was born. bt most times my male friends recharge my phone and i also recharge theirs too.....most people enter into boyfriend girlfriend relationship just bc of the benefit which is sex and money....when you dont want sex as a single lady wht is ur business in boyfriend relationship
