The probability of Skye Bank falling to N0.99 again is 1/10,it has a current EPS of N0.86. Equity investment is all about earning or income! |

To the freshers or newbies, always buy your shares based on EPS,I have learnt this the hard way! |

EDUECO: I agree EPS is good but it is not that simple. There are yet other very important factors to consider. You can miss opportunities like FO, Nestle and Beta glass is you follow this rule simplistically, 1 Like 1 Share |

EDUECO: Careful......It's not a rule o. Unity and Skye have been the most attractive all year round based on EPS ALONE. Price performance is not solely determined by EPS alone. 1 Like |

Let me help some guys here. If you plan leaving your cash till end of February, go for Zenith. With PAT of over 80 Billion by third quarter, they would most likely close the year around 100bill- 110 Billion PAT. ( Considering that interest expense will be lower in the 4th quarter as treasury bills/Fixed deposit rates all fell). If they retain last years div, that will be 1.35 ((0.9*1.5)) (Excluding the interim already paid.))). On 13 naira, that div yield is above 10%. So I would say that based on trend analysis, if Zenith won't be around 13 naira by then, it could get up to 13 naira because of the results. So today, you can get it around 9.5 naira, so why dilly dally. Last year's audited results were released on 27 Feb, 2015. The above analysis is based on personal opinions and some facts. (I own shares in Zenith Bank). Modified: Despite temporary price fluctuations, a potential dividend yield of about 10% plus remains attractive. 1 Like |
