same thing happened to me nt quite long,was in a leacture room,sat on the last edge,this girl just come from nowhere and wants to shift me inside,space that cant even accomodate us,wen i use bad eye look her like dis,she now start begging me to adjust for her,i pity her dat day

A similar incident like dat of d op happened to me recently. I was late for an appointment, so i stopped a cab, i rushed to open d door a lady stood dere holding d handle i looked her face thinking abt how to react, she looked at me and said enhen what, like leave d door. I just told that i stopped d cab and would have to board it. She had no option than to leave dere for me. I knw many will say i am not a gentleman, her arrogance really pissed me off. Some of dem ladies need this treatment once in a while so that they wil knw the realistic way of life

She definitely had a mental problem at the time the incident happened. The guy did the best thing he could have done, showing her foolishness would not be accepted. Overreacting would be verbalising his displeasure at her actions.

Asking what he would do if he was the owner of the bench or hospital irrelevant. That's like asking what someone would if he owned the bank because he refused to allow someone jump an atm transaction queue.

He's not asking for salutation, hes asking for respect. And yes, he's at liberty to withhold his generosity from anyone he finds unworthy of it.

Not everyone will understand life but when someone attempts to correct wrongs they should be applauded not villified. There's a reason why it is said, "it takes a village to raise a child". This child has just received a lesson from other villagers. Let her learn in peace.

Hi OP, would it have made a difference if she were not pretty? As in, would you have let her sit despite her manners if she were not good looking?
Reading your post and the most of the guys' comments on here, it seems you think it's her beauty that is making her feel entitled to favors (seat in this case) and thus bad-mannered.

IMO, anyone; ugly or good-looking, male or female could be ill-mannered and thus deserving of such treatment you meted out . I don't think people deserve to be treated in a particular way because of they way the look- that, will be discrimination!

And anyone also, ugly or good-looking, male or female could be courteous.

Met such a pretty lady in a teaching hospital some years back. She greeted everybody on the bench despite been visibly distressed. Her manners made people to tell the doctors to attend to her first. Everything was fast-tracked for her. And she had what turned out to be a benign tumor.

I have not been feeling too well lately, I visited a clinic. I took some drugs but it didn't alleviate the pain so the doctor referred me to a friend of his at the teaching hospital. I got info that the place is often crowded to I decided to leave home early so that I could still utilise the latter part of the day. When I arrived, they were people already waiting for the doc. We queued while sitting on a bench. I was the last person on the bench although we sat comfortably, that means the bench could still accommodate one more person with a degree of discomfort. Minutes later, A beautiful lady....really pretty....walks towards me and was about to use her buttocks to shove me inwards without uttering a word. Immediately I expanded my legs and gave her a slight push....Just as I looked the other way.....People on the bench didn't even blink someone sitting on the bench even hissed.......when she stood and couldn't find where to sit she walked away embarrassed .....later a guy came and was like....good morning can I join you? I was like sure...I dragged my buttocks a bit and we all squeezed ourselves while sitting on the bench. She came back and was walking aimlessly starring icily at me. I just fix my Ipod, blast music.
..........................I know some other ladies do these act too but no matter how pretty or beautiful you are if you lack courtesy, you are a pile of trash waiting for lawma!

Op were u in he hospital to seek other peoples manners or to seek medical attention for your health condition?
As far as am concerned that bench/sit doesn't belong to you and is for public use and so u have no right to occupy more than on persons space (which I must say is even rude of u to spread your legs) neither are u supposed to seek for courtesy or manners from a patient like u to make use of the hospital facility...
its just like entering into a public bus and u have to beg people to shift for u!! for Christ sake its a public vehicle if u want convenience or comfort drive in your car
In my own opinion based on the fact that u identified her as ''a beautiful lady'' I think u have a low self esteem or inferiority complex.
That lady owed u no greeting or courtesy cos u even portrayed far more worse behaviour..
