Super story

Lol. It might seem like "Super Story" to you but the story is close to what happened to me.

Some years back, I proposed to my girl whom I had dated for a year and a half. I met her while she was doing Msc in my city. She finished her Msc and moved to another city, one and a half hour away, while I remained in mine. However, she would come visiting and stay over every other weekend. Meanwhile, I was gathering money to proceed with marriage within the year.

One weekend, she was supposed to come visiting but couldn't do so because she told me her elder sister who she stays with sent her on a very important errand. It was fine with me, no problem.

Around 1 a.m-ish that "night", I was sleeping when my phone rang. It was my babe's number. Guess what? It was a man's voice on the line ! He went: " Hello, is this xxxx?", he called my name. I was like " Yes, who is this?" He introduced himself and told me that he and my fiancee were engaged and getting married soon. That my girl was right there with him as we spoke. Shocked as I was, I told him I had heard him and congratulations.

Next day, I called an elderly lady who was like a mother to my girl while she was doing the Msc in my town and I told the lady about the phone call. She was shocked and called my girl to ask her about it. My girl denied, called me and swore that she didn't know who called me with her number. She went all weepy, swearing that she didn't know who called me that maybe it was a prankster who cloned her line etc etc.

To prove her innocence, she got on a Bus the very next day and came to my town. When she came, I sat her down and told her to fess up if she was actually engaged to somebody that I would understand. She swore that she wasn't. Anyway, I let it go and we continued, normal service.

Would you believe that the next month, a mutual friend of ours who attends my church told me she didn't know my girl and I had broken up and in fact, she, my girl, had moved on so fast that she'd done her traditional marriage with a guy . I played it cool and said yes, that was the case. I then asked the girl if she had pictures of the traditional wedding. She showed me a picture of my girl decked in traditional wedding attire, Yoruba-style, with a man and another picture, like a wedding IV, with my girl's name and the name of the fella who called me that fateful night.

That evening, my girl phoned me as usual to ask how my day went. I told her it went well and asked her how was her husband. She paused and asked me what I meant by that question. I told her I found out she was married and she said I had come with something to upset her etc. I proceeded to send her the picture of her traditional wedding. Guess what she said " IT IS MY YOUNGER SISTER"! I couldn't believe my ears! I was looking at this girl's trado wedding picture right before me and she was telling me it wasn't her but her younger sister! My girl is the LAST BORN of their family, people!

This happened to ME! It may look like something straight from an episode of Super Story. Trust me, these things happens. I'm as serious as a heart attack.

She is not the one, some one use her image. Have you watched Yoruba movies where someone will use another person image to perpetuate evil.

Have you thought of the possibility of she having an unknown twin sister? Now to make the whole thing clearer and to solve the puzzle and unravel the mystery (this grammar done dey full my head again), you should tell her that you and your friend will call your friend's friend who is in the UK to call his wife and arrange a meeting for your friend ( This mention of friend done dey too much, na wetin?) to meet her parents and his parents on a very important issue. And in that meeting you girlfriend MUST be present dead or alive. Is the Mystery Puzzle not demystified? Ok, hit like if you think I make sense small.

If this your story really is true, henceforth I will be scared of women. She (your girl) is the complete definition of wicked.

You are nothing but disgrace to men,if your story is true, I will ask you some questions if you can reply, as you said that you are in date for about 6years? Don't know know any of her relative or friend? When she came back to you is she with her phone? My comment is; you dnt need to beat her, Advice; impregnate her and ask her to take you to her parent for fist introduction. Shikena

The whole story sounds like a lie to me. But the part I find very difficult to believe is that a girl was to get married the next day came to his boyfriend's house at 5pm the day before, spent the night there, and left at 6am the next day. It sounds incredible.

Wow, something similar happened with one of my room mates in school, I resumed early for the semester, got to the hostel after lectures and the whole hostel was talking about my room mate who came to school saying she was her own sister, to our knowledge she didn't have a twin sister, this person kept saying she was my roommate's sister and not our roommate herself, that she came to see her sister.

I am talking about someone who was exactly the same size, same complexion, same face, same pimples and black spots. The stranger left that same day. Only for my roommate to resume school and totally deny that she was the one that came that day. Till today, I can't really understand it.

One of the cons of long distance relationships, you see. I would later go on to find out that she started dating this guy when she relocated while I was in my town. I proposed to her with a ring on the 6th of a particular month of that year while the guy proposed on the 16th of same month. I guess as I was gathering money to marry, money was no object to my rival and he did the needful faster than me.

I saw a topic on Nairaland the other day wherein a lady accepted rings from THREE GUYS within the space of one month ! Did you read that story? Shocking stuff which drew the indignation of some Nairalanders that commented. Trust me, some mothers do have 'em. The lady would go ahead to marry one of her THREE FIANCES, leaving the others in a lurch someday.

What she wanted with me? The Jury is out on that one.
