Hi guys, so wanted to give you an update on my hair using NappyGirl Growth Enhancing Oil.
I've been using it consistently for 3 years now and it actually helped my hair grow longer. Now the sides are slowly catching up.
My target goal is a blunt waistlength.

I have a question. How do you apply the oil to your hair?

NappilyNigerian:
This is the oil and it costs N3500. You can get it from beautifullynappy.com, kaymu.com and nappilynigeriangirl.com
All sources ship nationwide.

There are only 30 bottles available each month, so hurry while stocks last!

So what are the ingredients in this oil?

Hair loss: Apply daily to affected area morning and evening. Gently massage until fully absorbed. A little goes a long way, so less is more.

Hair breakage: Apply daily to hair strands, work in until fully absorbed. Moisturise as usual.

Indian Oiling Method: Apply daily till wash day. Shampoo, condition, oil and braid till hair is 90% dry. Moisturise as usual.

So what are the ingredients in this oil?

Herbal extracts of Eclipta alba (scientifically proven to be as effective as minodixil against hair loss)
Neem (antifungal,antibacterial, effective against lice)
Indian Gooseberry (good source of vitamin c ..helps nourish follicles through which hair grows)
Coconut oil (pure coconut oil helps prevent protein loss in hair)
Castor oil (stimulates growth)
Essential oil blend

Hair growth progress using the right regimen.
There are one thousand and one regimens for growing hair long especially now as there is more awareness about African hair growth.

There are different pills, potions and lotions available for hair growth.

Fact: Hair loss and damage happens over time due to different factors. It also takes time for such damage to be reversed.
Today's hair care practices such as tight braids, too much manipulation, improper products, improper relaxing technique all contribute to hair loss.

What I've been using for over 3 years that has given me fabulous results is NappyGirl Growth Enhancing Oil. There's no promise of instant growth but with consistent use, my breakage has stopped, my hair has grown thicker, fuller and longer.

I'm sharing my personal tips that worked for me as a Nigerian based in Nigeria and for the ladies in the pictures attached.

It's normal to have lots of tangling when taking braids down especially if you have it longer than 2 weeks and have been moisturizing by spraying with water. The tangling is usually worse at the nape and edges.
To control this,
Try moisturizing with a leave in instead of direct water.
Protect the hair around the edges from direct water during showering by using a showercap or wrapping with a scarf.
Don't carry braids longer than four weeks. The major cause of that tangling is the usual hair you shed daily (approx 100 strands), multiply that by the number of days you have the style and it will give you an idea how bad the tangling will be.
Bigger braids give less tangles than smaller braids.

On take down,
Apply a slippery conditioner or oil beforehand and cover with a shower cap for some minutes.
When taking down and there's any tangles, patiently detangle starting from the ends. Apply more conditioner to give more slip.

Good afternoon house, I have been keeping my natural hair for some years and it is a bit long and I want to be able to show it off, but my hair on the edges are short.
Pls I need someone to recommend a very good gel/edge control cream that can hold natural hair.

Try creme of nature edge control gel.. ORS edge control gel is okay, but it contains paraben. That was the only reason why I disliked the product

Hallo, its the gentelle one. you can use it for any hair type. i dnt think it was made specifically for unrelaxed hair. i think a lot of the products that we use for our hair can be used for any hair type. you just have to find the one that works for you. and i always feel that looking specifically for one type of hair product for natural or relaxed hair will limit you. because, a time will come when you cannot find some of these 'special' products.

anyways, i've tried all sorts of things to get a clearer picture of my hair i used for the wedding. the album is still not out yet so, i hope you get the general idea from this picture. smiley
pls what else do you use for your hair like cream, shampoo etc and what about your regime. thanks.

Your current products aren't too bad...the problem is the presence of sulphate in the shampoo and petrolatum in the conditioners. However some people have no problem with these ingredients. Once you run out of it though, switch to Organics Root Stimulator brand. It is more natural hair friendly and just as affordable.
