I nearly passed out the day I bought water for $3 at grand central station. When I protested, the guy only shrugged and said "hey baby, it's new york. You want cheap water, go to jersey"

I just weak. It's only in USA that 2 litre coke is 99 cents and water is $3. And they are asking why diabetes and obesity is a problem for
them?

My sister i tire for Yankee o! Burger sef cheap pass vegetables! Hian!!!.

Lol.. you ladies are hilarious.

When you're out and about shopping and you decide to get a snack, subway and chic-fil-a are good options. I always pick the meal cos it's cheap and comes with a drink.

Once they give you that cup without the drink in it, it means you can refill as many times as you want. The refill station in such situations is far from them. So I generally drink like 2 cups of iced tea and then get water.

But this just asking for water I never try am oh.lol

The only objection I have to the sales tax issue is that one is a foreigner, minus that the result of the taxes they collect is clear for all to see...

Not that some will be gaining weight on people's taxes & the people carrying the tax burden go dey shed weight...

wait, what day did you give birth and what day did you leave.

i suspect u spent 3 calender days even though it was within 48 hours

for example you gave birth 11pm on a wed night and got discharged 7am on friday - less than 48 hours for oakbend but NICS will count it as three days (wed, thursday and Friday)

Blessed Mother's and Father's, the Awesome God we call on at all times may he continue to show up for us in Jesus Christ name, Amen.

Left Lagos via BA and requested for wheel chair service, at BA stand I wasn't asked for fit to fly.

The lady that wheeled me to the depature asked if I was pregnant and I said yes. She asked for my fit to fly and I gave it to her, the next thing she said was I hope you don't give birth in the plane because your are leaving at 35 weeks; I replied immediately, God forbid. I will not birth in the plane.

We got to London and it was all good.

We connected our Flight to Houston after 3 hrs layover.

Before landing in Houston, my mom and i prayed a prayer of agreement and i felt peace immediately.
Got to Houston at 2:15pm.

God of wonders, God that never fails, Awesome redeemer I saluate your majesty.

Was wheeled to CBP. I greeted but no response.

He asked for our passports and I handed it over to him.

He asked me to place my fingers on the scanner and then the picture.

Immediately, he said am sending them back.

I don't know what he saw, I don't know what happened, I was moved wheeled forward and he was to scan my mom, then he asked who is bla bla bla... I said I am, he said Oh no! I have made a mistake. He immediately radioed some people and said they should please send a manager to him.

When the manager came, he enquired what the problem was, he said he made a mistake and the manager asked ain't we sending them back. He said No, I made a big mistake.

He re-scanned me and stamped me in 6 months, scanned my mom and my daughter and said Sorry about the mistake. Welcome to America.

My fellow mamas, no document was asked, my purpose wasn't even asked, nothing at all.

The devil stuck out his ugly head but God cut it off.

I am presently in my host''s place. Waiting for my appointment tomorrow with Dr. Ezekiel.

Praise be to God.

Hallelujah.

Thank God for favour safe delivery to you too. Pls can you pm me dr Ezekiel email address to fbofoma@yahoo.co.uk.
Pls also share your experience and if she takes wire transfers too.

Chicago is becoming unpleasant plus the increasing crime rate..
I hope the increase will be used to improve the security situation in the state and work on those rusted rails tracks
They have a past mayor that was sentenced to x years in prison for corruption (can't even remem the no of years)

That being said, I will ALWAYS have affinity for Chi town cos my first born's umbilical cord a.k.a "chibi" was buried abi decomposed there grin

The much awaited Testimony arrived few hours ago to the Glory of Almighty God. DW & LO are doing fine.

Breakdown Below (Bills so Far):
Hospital (WHMC) $3,000 VD, Dr. La $2,500, Initial Visit $145, Ultrasound Anatomy $250, 3rd Trimester Hiv $50, Pap Smear $225, Group B Strep $50, Another Test $80 (replacement for Glucose Tolerance Challenge which was done in 9ja).
The following Tests were done in 9ja: Rubella, Blood Group & RH type, Hepatitis B with Surface Antigen, VDRL/syphilis, genotype & Glucose Tolerance Challenge.

Special Thanks to God for his grace and mercies and for every contributor to this thread, I say Thank You. Everything was a Breeze, from Visa Interview to getting PTA & entering Houston POE without any question asked (Not even why are you in the US?) and to the arrival of our March 1st Baby.

Let me also add a word of encouragement for folks who have experienced loss in whatever form, I decree in the name of Jesus, You will recover all. DW had a MC sometimes last year and it was a very agonizing period for us, fast-forward to 2016, we are testifying to the gracious mercies of the Lord and his wondrous works.

To all expectant Fathers and Mothers, Na so so good news we go dey hear by the grace of God.
My God is a good God, Yes he is smiley

Congrats @Toludo

I keyed into your prayer with a resounding "Amen" as my long awaiting baby in my womb just stopped growing and I am scheduled for evacuation tomorrow. I have cried and questioned God but I have learned to understand that even how the conception became possible in the first place is a miracle. My faith is that God who made it possible for others including your wife will answer us again and this time it will be permanent.

Congrats once more grin.

This tap water thing depends on where you are o...and before venturing on drinking it's good to ask questions...my aunt in new York buys water 365 days a year...she and family stopped drinking tap water after nuclear stuff (can't recall the story accurately) contaminated the water in their county during one natural disaster that affected new York early 2013...

My family friend in Arizona swears never to drink her tap water filtered or not...so na buy we dey buy...

I also recall reading many articles (some years back) about tap water in some parts of the US having being discovered to be either mixed with one thing or the other or contaminated with something...

And then there is this Michigan contaminated tap water issue on the news now...

So moral of my plenty story is...it's best to ask questions before venturing on the tap water drinking thingy when in the US.
