Congrats, pls some quick questions.

1) did Dr f accept all ur nigerian lab results? Cos from ur breakdown u spent at 260 for lab which I think is good.

2) am also high risk preggy, is that why baby was in nicu for 3 days? Or all babies are just taken there for routine?

Thanks

NICU is not the same as NICS. NICS is the group of neonatal/paediatric doctors that attend to the baby at birth.

You are goood to go. The B1/B2 visa includes provision for medicals, letter of intent is not required provided you declared your intention to birth in the USA during ur interview

This was what I got from LagosNIV:

Thank you for your email.

Your B-class visa does not entitle you to entrance to the United States—it simply entitles you to arrive at a port-of-entry to the United States and apply for admission to an officer of the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) unit on duty there. The Customs and Border Protection, a branch of USCIS, determines a traveler’s eligibility of entry to the U.S, you should be prepared to demonstrate to the immigration officer at the port of entry why you are seeking medical treatment and that you have logistical and financial plans for the treatment.

We recommend that you review the regulations on non-immigrant aliens entering the United States for purposes of childbirth at https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/882/~/visit-the-u.s.-while-pregnant-and-the-risks-involved and plan accordingly. Please you should not stay in the U.S. longer than you are permitted by Customs and Border Protection at the port of entry. The Department of Homeland Security at the port of entry will determine your eligibility to enter the United States on any travel.

If you choose to give birth in the U.S., we advise you to bring evidence of payment, both when you enter the U.S. on this visit, and at your future U.S. visa interviews.

I got the generic response.

Here:
Thank you for your inquiry.

Please note that there is no legal requirement to inform us that you are seeking to give birth in the United States or that your purpose of travel has changed. The Customs and Border Protection, a branch of USCIS, determines a traveler's eligibility of entry to the U.S, you should be prepared to demonstrate to the immigration officer at the port of entry why you are seeking medical treatment and that you have logistical and financial plans for the treatment..........

Not sure we are talking of same hospital, co incidentally, my host is a pharmacist and immediately I mentioned the hospital she said it's very good and she has worked there before.
I think we have over flogged some hospitals sotee doctors ask us to pay for simple enquiries, that's non sense to me oh. You have the Internet, you know the city you hav people, just Google hospitals 30miles from eg Dallas. You will see the list, then pick and check their ratings, take a pictorial tour in their labour & ICU. Also I'm sure we've all been praying, Trust God to guide you, once your spirit settles for a hospital im sure God must have provided a helper there for u.....Good luck guys

Well said @bolded

Hi all, Dallas hospitals are a little pricey, but I just love the city. Pls has anyone used doctors hospital at white rock lake. How is their service? Thanks in advance

Everything is pricey in Dallas (groceries, transportation, accommodation, etc) simply because it's Dallas. The weather is nice and if you have the extra money, its definitely an entertaining place to visit (be prepared to travel since Dallas is a bit stretched out).

Please I need help from anyone that had to apply for Visa for their mom for childbirth (help) purpose.
Did you state in the application that the purpose of the trip is for help with childbirth?
Did you have to contact the hospital prior to filling the DS160 application form? As part of burden of proof.
Im yet to send my change of intent letter, would that be a problem? Even though I got the visa for vacation last year and I have used it for the purpose.

Are you serious? How much was the ticket originally? How much did they deduct?

Sugah for U? I'll answer any question.

So let me gettir straight. U have a visa. Used it. Want to birth with it and want ur mom to get a visa to assist u. And whether she'll fill it in her form.
I suggest u follow it in proper sequence.
Get all your what what's from the doctor. Email the embassy. Let your mom carry the what what's (correspondence cheesy) . Not because she needs it cos all she needs to prove is ties but just in case. Evils VO can like to try themselves.
Now to purpose, despite the fact that momsi is following u for medicals, her visa still falls purely within the B1/B2 (as in the one without Medicals in d DS 160)
There's no place for her to fill purpose apart from the place she'll click on type of visa. She will have to now explain during the interview.
Hope I answered wella

Hello all, I have been a silent reader and follower of this thread and I thank everybody for what this thread is today. I am a September mom to be and so far I have been taking notes. My issue is that of refund/cancellation of an Airfrance ticket I bought in March 2015, it's a round trip premium economy class for 5. We couldn't use the second leg of the ticket due to my my kids school being in session so I called the travel agent that booked to get a refund so we can top up and get another round trip. The agent called me today to tell me that Air France has credited my family with 65k for each person. And that what was refunded is only for tax paid. This is a ticket we bought for almost 4million Naira round trip. Pls is this the norm. Air France has refused to act because it's through an agent. What do I do?
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by happytbaby: 6:11pm On Mar 09, 2016
So sorry baby.

Can you post your transcripts so that people can try and pinpoint what went wrong?

quote author=Zumabeezle post=43614104]

Thank u Suntai. I really appreciate the prayer.
Went for the interview and did as was advised. Carried the investment certificate and other statements of account. But was denied under section 214b. the person who interviewed me denied everyone she interviewed. She didn't give one single white sheet in my presence.
Will reapply n pray for God's favour.
My dear, your answer is in your question o.you bought your tickets from an AGENT.
AirFrance/KLM/Delta they detest customers buying from agents o.As a Flying Blue member if I buy cheap tickets from agent I don't bother trying to change dates/upgrade because when you call their CS line to do such, something go just off in their brain and their standard answer is call your AGENT chikena.God now help you,you now miss a connecting flight(if you bought direct from them they will put on the next one leaving without much stress)but if na thru Agent they will just say am Sorry ,you are paying blah blah. cry.just collect your change like that o.Sorry kiss

Did you say N16M or N1.6M? I am leaving my 2 kids behind ooo, cant afford the ticket prices for all of us.
Summer tickets may skyrocket from April/May, so you need to strategize well.

Pls Is there any way to transfer money to a US account from naija? I need to fund my dollar account.
