I deserve d scolding. Took wrong advise. D VO didn't ask for any documents. How only asked where I worked whichbi told him, he also asked my duties which I told him to a point den my little boy pulled my chain n I pauses before I continued he asked another question. Which was how may kids I had n if i was expecting. I didn't know I could show him my introduction letter cos I had all my documents with me.@ the leaky tribe I have access to about #250 k n baby ticket fare.

Trust me, u didn't take wrong advice, you just didn't read before going for your interview. 20M bank acct. Statement? Abeggy....even 100M doesn't guarantee visa approval whereas 3M is just okay for the VO as long as you're sincere and you don't intend to runaway. (looks like u're even planning to relocate). Anywayz, d gurus will put you through and please, take time to read!!! My 2cents

Found it for ya

Here's her post:

mrsbw:
okay guys..wanted to wait to be debited before confirming the Form A stuff.

I intend using Dr La and WHMC. WHMC does not accept wire transfers, so I got Dr La's wire transfer details.

I went to Stanbic IBTC on Thursday for the processing.

Documents required:
a) Letter of reference from specialist doctor, or specialist hospital in Nigeria -
b) Completed Form A
c) Passport, visa and air ticket
d) Correspondence with overseas specialist doctor stating the cost of treatment etc.

Filled the form; requested for payment of doctors fees only (paid $3,000) and included my doctor's bank details. The requirement doesn't state just hospitals can be credited. It only states that it must be for medical treatment. So, I guess if you can provide your doctors correspondence (with his letterhead) and they can match it to the bank details. I guess they can also check the doctor online if they want.

Got debited the ffg this morning: Transaction: 598500; telex charge: 4000; offshore charge: $25 = 4987.50; Bank commission 0.5% = 3142.13
Total was 610629.6 which came to about N203.5 per $.

So you can actually pay for just doctor or doctor and hospital if your hospital accepts transfers.

Noticed in the CBN requirement page that if the doctor includes cost of maintenance, that cost of treatment can be made payable to the hospital and the cost of maintenance to the applicant if the applicant is an outpatient; but I did not explore that oh. Only paid doctor's bill.

Also, I had initially gone to UBA and they said they dont process Form A for childbirth. GTB said I'll be on a wait list for at least a month. Went to stanbic after @onlineise post on Wednesday, and it got processed in 48hours. Thanks so much @onlineise you are a life saver!

Pls remember to collect your telex copy from the bank as proof of payment

Hope this helps cc: @biollar1 @chloe7 @kemo88 @beautyx5

Please which specialist hospital did you use for the Form A? Is it private or teaching hospital?

1m can't birth in US. Not with this dollar madness.

One woman was here with a low budget of 2.5m, and she had to cut it really close. Sorry love. Can't work

frankly speaking with the budget you presently have it'll be tough to prove that you can afford to pay your bills. at the present exchange rate it is a very high risk you intend to take.

assuming you even get forex via PTA you'll just barely fall around the $5k mark. this may be sufficient for your bills but cannot be the only expenses you'll run into. what happens if there are complications?

It would be wise to consider leaving your kids behind for the trip. going with them for the interview may reduce your chances because it implies you should have more funds. Restrict your research to places where you're certain of getting free accommodation and other necessaries.

People can't just recommend to you because you have to have accomodation there as your budget is tight. Get pen and paper and start doing your research.

There's no guarantee that u won't resort to public aid and medicaid if granted the visa with 1m.

I'm not VO, but you sef, judge this matter. If you are VO, will you grant you the visa?

You can try though, we serve a miracle working God.

They also add the caveat of *subject to availability*

I have. From NY to DC. After entering God is Good all I can say is, its amazing !
Better leg room. Wifi on board. Charging point. Lavatory present. The bus is hardly full. I believe they have luggage size requirement but nobody carried plenty luggage.
You can also try China bus. Cheaper with fluctuating wifi and no charging point but d prices are more stable than Greyhound. And I believe u can get away with plenty ngwongwo (luggage). Good leg room too

Hummmmm. Ur budget is pretty tight mi'lady. 1.2mil even with PTA is very little. HOUSTON IS NOT D CHEAPEST. But dats where you have family. I dnt kne abt MD or other atates u mentioned. Find cheaper places but be willing to up ur budget for feeding accomodation and transport. Plus incase d V.O actually takes a look at your statement... ur statement of acct needs to show substantial money. Atleast 2.5 mil.
