Even if UBCAP does 10% increase every day and gets to N2.29, dividend yield will still be attractive at 15.2%.
However many JIJO type of people will rather jump out then than get stuck in an illiquid stock with price depreciation.

But because at 15.2% it will still be one of the most attractive did yields in the market, investors are still likely to rush in.

Personally I won't be to so keen on getting into a not too liquid stock for a 15% yield. But we will see how this one goes. Since it's closure date is still a bit far off, I expect it to rise and then drop due to profit takers.

Just theories...

I don't know anything about the broker but u can get a reliable one through referral. Its good you are thinking of investing in stocks which shows you really want to secure your financial future. No amount is too small to start with as there are lots of good cheap stocks you can buy..You can invest in FBNH, Ucap, Afripud, Diamond bank, dangote sugar, tigerbrands amongst others.

Happy investing.

He is a student. JIJO should not be his objective now else he might mistakenly jump out of school.

He should open an account with a reliable broker and buy undervalued stocks based on research from forums like this, proshare, Stockmarketnigeria, trwstockbrokers etc.

I will not advice a student with 10k to go into full time trading unless he can manage his time well. The thing can addictive and costly. Butter be sure that is what he is really interest in doing even for his future.

The organised labour on Sunday called on President Muhammadu Buhari to use the opportunity of the planned economic conference to come up with policies that could be implemented to get the country out of its current economic woes.

The two labour centres in the country – the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress – said the economy had stopped functioning.

NLC and TUC believed that the state of the economy had not been as bad as the prevailing scenario since the civil war.
