@ OP, most of the time I come on nairaland to ease off stress and do some readings on any topic that arrest my attention. This your post did not only arrested my attention, it does seized every attention of mine.
I will start by telling you that a deal as the one explained is nothing but a scam. Pls, forgive my narrative skill.

If you do google search, yahoo, metasearch and some underground tools to look up the info on the internet, guy, you will find info on it. But this is how it works.

Do not know if you have heard of a site dubbing tools. These guys are professional in the sense that they will use to tools to duplicate the entire site, check your mail, it is possible for them to send you a link, and when open the link, it takes you to the duplicated site, they monitors all activities being carried out on the site. This is how they pick their target.

I experienced such sometimes in 2004, I wasn't that observant then, mine was from canada, huge amount of money went into it then.

I am on phone, don't so much enjoy doing typing from here, would have love to share the method with you all.

It was after they made way with 570k as at that time and nothing came forth that I came back to my sense and asked a guru friend of mine who was @ the time based in romania, to help look up every info on the said site, emails. Phone contacts etc . Infact, chairman, run run run. Thanks.
Re: HELP! Is This A Scam Or Real (photos Attached) by dutchie101: 9:53pm On Mar 22, 2016
The English from the agent sounds very Nigerian way of speaking, certainly they are not a UAE based agency.

Also using whats app with a foreign number to call you makes the scam look even more cheap. Why whats app? why not a direct call...I can easily ask my friend in UAE to setup a UAE sim card with whats app and send it to me in Nigeria for scam purposes, offcourse we all know the number will show in communications anywhere there is an internet connection.

Did you do any interview? I doubt it...This days companies organize remote interviews through Skype a lot. They should interview before giving you a job.

Anyway this is a big scam and if you paid, well you are a maayi !!

We can't conclude yet if its a scam. Since the letter read that they will first make the payment till your visa is out and you have to confirm its real. That they will make the first payment and you will reimburse them after it's successful. In that case, me I will ask them to invest their money while you wait and watch them in 3D while u are sipping your bottle of Pepsi with some pop corn. Don't conclude yet just don't part away with your money for processing.

If he did not apply for the job it is pure scam.

Op didn't mentioned if he did applied for it or not. But even though he did applied, he can't cast all his trust on it. What if, he applied but it's fake job advert. All I keep saying is if the said firm can't spend their own money to facilitate it to completion he should forget abt it.

Very true. The mail is not written with official terms. It's as plain as an informal letter. The offer appears tempting but all that glitters isn't gold. And I have a problem with their despirate emphasis on using/sending your cash. Please count the 'YOU' in the mail write up, its alarming.Don't you think this 'supposed company' seems rather desperate?

Well,it's not a scam.but don't try to comply to the offer.Oman is not a good country to go to as a nigerian.those people want to trick you to enter the country before they tell you the kind of job they have for you.it's left for you to take it or live it.they already collected there own share and you at risk to loose because your employer will never free you until you paid him or her the money those agents might have collected from him or her.be wise.not all that glitters are gold.good luck.

I need help here. I want to know if this stuff is real. I applied for jobs on a dubai based site, dubbizle.com

some time this month, I got a mail from a supposed firm in Oman demanding that I send my whatsapp number to them that I showed interest to work in their firm. I sent the number. They called me on whatsapp with a foreign number and I was 'interviewed'. I was also asked to scan to them the first page of my international passport, I did. Attached is the rest of the discussion.

I dont know if its real or the work of scammers. Also attached is the Offer letter they sent me

Dear you done need people's opinion to know this is a scam. No coperate organization will ever sound this informal in a mail.
Genuine organizations with a operate structure won't have the time to be so elaborate on offers like this except their is a real need for it as such organization normally has many clients to reach out to.
He first paragraph of shows you what the fool wants.
Why do you need to pay upfront of it would still be refunded on your arrival?
Ma dear if you commit, you done enter and you will keep paying the fool.
I believe you are wise not to fall for a cheap scam by a JSS 2 student.

Since you said you work in Dubai call the number and ask them yourself and see if I'm a scam. Come back here and modify your comments about me. It's in business bay area near creek metro station. Their office is in blue bay towers on the 17th floor.

You were also scam too and you became a scammer when you get a geniue employment in UAE all expenses are paid for you. Does Oman use dihrams? why charge him in dihrams? Is all scam.
