We both found the woman's actions distasteful and disturbing. Yet we should acknowledge a state of affairs that pushes an ordinary woman with the ordinary heart to commit such atrocity.

Nigeria is hardly a welfare state, it is every dog for himself world. Women who do this, don't do it fun, rather they lack the support structure a welfare state usually has. The babies are expensive and neither are there sufficient orphanages nor adequately funded orphanages. Worse of all, is the interruption in their education and the social stigma associated with unwanted pregnancies.

So I perceive you believe strongly in abstinence and consequently believe those with unwanted pregnancies willingly intended it and deserve the consequences attached to it. Such consequences then serve as a moral punishment for their indiscretion. Because abstinence doesn't solve an unwanted pregnancy.

I strongly believe that every barren woman of today was once an abortionist yesterday. All these barren women today were serial abortion careers . Tomorrow now these sets of killers who kill for convenience will start rolling at church crusade grounds for fruit of the womb.

My prayer has always been God please don't allow me come across or ever to get married to an ex or present abortionist. I too will never sponsor that devilish acts.

I don't consider abortion as murder if I did, I wouldn't support it. Of course who is human, is a controversial question

Saying it is okay to kill a baby before they develop these organs is simply a way to justify and quieten the conscience of the woman and the abortionist. Even at that, a large percentage of women that had abortion at any stage live with the regret for the rest of their lives. Who, really, under "normally circumstances" will opt for abortion instead of having the baby?

Sperm cells and eggs are living. They are definitely not dead. The fact they are living doesn't mean humanity should jealously guard the eggs. The eggs and sperm potentially lead to a bouncing baby, yet we find these to be mere human seeds of life.

The ancients believed what made us human, was the soul. The soul behaves in such a manner that distinguished man from beast. The capacity for pain, and interpretation of that pain along with consciousness beyond a vegetative state is what distinguishes human to me.

If you think aborting a foetus is murder, wouldn't it be inconsistent to believe that a woman endangered by her pregnancy, is entitled to an abortion?

Wouldn't be a cruelty to condemn such a woman to death by standing by without intervention?
