this is not a pure Yoruba o. it has some dialect input but lemme try

Ajao my Husband, a very entrepreneur man, who will rather eat abari, than leaving his duty in the market to eat pounded yam at home.
summary----'' Ajao my husband, very focused and hardworking'

I am trying, but being so far naija makes it difficult! Although I had a pretty good idea, just wanted to make sure before I explained to my husband that I know his dirty secret, and send him from my house back to naija with just the clothes on his back!

It is what Yoruba's call Oriki.

You don't have to be a yoruba's husband to be called Oko mi.

The message could be from anyone ranging from mother, relative or admirer.

You need to explain the origin of such a message for me to give you a clear interpretation.

Just had to let you know so you don't misinterprete this.

the beginning of the message she called him her husband and asked him not to be angry with her. Then ended it with the yoruba. She is the mother of my husbands child, conceived 5 years before we met. He said that she cheated so he didn't marry her.
To me it sounds like he is married to her, and lied to me I am not, nor will I ever be ok with that.

Because I am a good woman, i have my own house, car and make my own money. I take care of my husband, i learned to cook his food, i accept our differences in culture, clean our home, i dont ask or complain if he sends money home, as a matter of fact if he doesnt mention he has, i remind him. I don't need a husband. I married him because I truly love him, and enjoy spending my time with him. I explained to him when we married that this was a marriage forever, on one condition, there is no cheating.

This is a simple case of mistrust arising from a possible miscontrusion. It's an oriki ( praise poetry) usually used by people very close to you. But now you seem to have confirmed the identity of the lady in question but I will advise you talk to your man still cos I believe you married him only because you love him. I understand you are beginning to feel insecure sort of. Loving could be really difficult most times but try to make your findings before you take any decisive measure. If it turns out he has nothing going between him and the lady, you would hurt more than anyone else involved. Moreover, some ladies can be very smart, having seen that he's becoming comfortable, she may be trying to comeback into his life. You just have to be smart....don't lose your guard and don't be too hasty in making decisions.
Have a blessed week.

I do plan on having a conversation with him about it. And yes, a few thirsty girls have tried to cause havoc. In his defense, i didnt see the answer to this message. My problem is that in English she called him her husband and said she wanted him not to be angry because of the love they have...

Translating the poetry in layman English;

Oko mi ajao ( My husband Ajao), omo aroloja yajiyan ( One who knows to make hay while it shines ), Esi oja mee je ( refuses to eat rice at the marketplace), omo ina kankan idi abari ( but makes big fire to prepare his maize cake )

Analyzing the piece shows that the fellow is praising your man for his diligence and hardwork. A praise for someone who is considered to be modest.
If your husband is denying having an extramarital affair, I think you should believe him, the only exception would be if there are other things you are suspicious about cos it seem he lost your trust already somewhere along your relationship and you're finding it difficult to trust him now. Discuss with him still and if it happens you don't trust him anymore make it known to him.

***if you two were happy before the sms thingy....and had no marriage threatening issue, you've got no worry believe me.

uhm... before you take such a drastic action u need to understand that the phrase "my husband" or "oko mi" in Yoruba is used as an endearment word by virtually all elderly women to address younger male relatives or even toddlers.

if you've done all you mentioned above for him, give him a chance to explain himself at least.

don't take major life decisions when you are angry.

if he is cheating, you have the greatest advantage of proximity.
