Yes boss. Will do the needful and provide positive feedback by His grace.

Morning all,

Interview took place today in Abuja and the outcome was negative. See below the script

VO: Good morning

US: Morning

VO: Why are you going to US

ME: My bro live and work in Maryland and he has been away for 9 years. Since his left the country, i have been married and have a child. He has not met my family and i believe this is an opportunity for his family to meet mine. Also, my wife is going to have a baby in the US.

VO: What do you do?

ME: I work as IT/Technical Support for XYZ company

VO: Why has your bro not visited you in Nigeria.

ME: It's difficult for him to travel because he has two jobs and also in University.

VO: To my wife; what do you do ma?

MyWife: I'm a stylist with interest in beads making. I also sell human hair.

VO: What will you do when you get to US?

MyWife: I'm going to have a baby and family visit.

VO: Why US? Why not go to somewhere else where child birth is cheaper?

MyWife/ME: My wife didn't give a satisfactory response to i cut in: Me: We chose US because we want quality child care. Also, the last time our family doctor visited Nigeria, he assessed my wife and advised she visit US and have her baby.

VO: Why cant the doctor come to Nigeria and treat your wife?

ME: He comes to Nigeria once in every year. We visited him during his visit. Also, he's based in US and a senior doctor in his hospital.

VO: Types continuously and the decision came.

He didn't ask about travel history, how much i earn, job description & etc.

Next plan:
I was thinking of reapplying immediately. Can we reapply as a family again or my wife alone should just go considering her health position? Left to me alone, i don't think i want to reapply again anytime soon.

Your sincere advise will be highly appreciated.

Regards

Despite the fact that I don't believe the VOs have a standard they follow in granting visa which you have not met up with. I was laughing at your response to why do you want to have your baby in US.

I think the VO knows that like 95% or more of people having babies in US are doing that for the baby to be granted citizenship.

I think he would have seen you a more sincere person if you spit it to thier face that because of their quality hospital and the possibility of the baby being granted American citizenship.

Just thinking loud, I don't no if I am wrong or right.

No. your not travelling to Tanzania will not affect you negatively.
Do not bother talking about the visa unless the VO notices it and asked why you didn't travel with the visa. Which you ll simply explain the reason y you were not able yo make the planned trip.

Just avoid the VO to think you got the Tanzania visa purposely cos you are planning to apply for US visa.

I am sorry not to have addressed your question earlier. My research about them is that if you have never been granted US tourist visa before , and you are gainfully employed in Nigeria your chances are always 50 50. Even if you quickly reapply if you so much believe that you are truly qualify , you may or may not be granted.

A friend of mine was refused sometimes ago and immediately he got home applied again with same information and he was granted. And I know someone that was refused 3 straight times withing short intervals.

Personally I ll recommend you go through the trend of people that want to have baby in us . and get some point there and let your wife give it a shot again.
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by seyewest(m): 11:57am On Apr 25, 2016
@Nicesoul too bad and I'm sorry about what happened. 1) I think both of you (You and Madam) are not organized. ''Our doctor said he will like us to have our child in U.S because complication may arise''
2) I believe that since your wife want to have her child in U.S it should be the reason you're applying as well so you can be by her side.
I will advise you to apply again next month if she's okay to travel and present your case better before the V.O mind you it's perfectly legal to have your child in U.S
3) I hope your brother entered the U.S legally?

@nicesoul...

i think ur reasons for visiting the usa are not consice enough...u hv too many stories.....wch will most def not interest any VO to give u a visa.

simply state that your primary aim is for for ur wife to give birth in the usa, and it wud b nice to visit ur brother who u hvnt seen in a long time

if u wish to follow this route...go to the thread below and build up ur profilke/meet the requirements for birthing in the usa.....this would include, hospitals/correspondence/having cash or ability to pay upto $16,000 for the birthing/budget sheet etc.......

an easier option would hv been to simply state that u r going for vacation and leave the child birth issue.......
birthing in the usa visa requiremnets are more stringent n cash intensive

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by Darmeeoyin: 12:51pm On Apr 25, 2016
I need help! I joined Nairaland purposely to get help with this!

I like to apply for USA tourist visa for vacation/visit with my family (Wife and one kid).
My brother-in-law will be inviting us and we will be staying at his place (He is US citizen). My father in-law will also be writing his own invitation letter for us (He is a permanent resident).
I will be sponsoring the visit. I need clarification with the following conditions:
1. I am in a full-time paid employment...earning 3.7m annually.
2. I own a registered business (registered as business name with CAC) with >20m turnover monthly...which I started in 2008 ( distribution of products and supply of certain consumables to manufacturing company - this doesn't constitute conflict of interest with my full time employment - I have few withholding tax certificates for the supplies I made to companies)
3. I have visited two western European countries on two occasions.. (Germany and Austria) 2 visas more than 6years ago
4. My family and I also visited Dubai less than 3 months ago
5. Here is my dilemma: Which of these sources of income should I state in my application? As for my salary account, it is not fat as I use the money there to run the family strictly. --- I intend to tender everything business related for the VISA application, so I need a go or no-go advice. Or can I present combination of both employment or business? (How do I completed the employment history with these records?
6. I really need this advice before I proceed to complete the application form online. Your professional advice will be highly appreciated.

Thank you all.
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by seyewest(m): 1:50pm On Apr 25, 2016
@Darmeeoyin First of all let us clear the issue of work. You work with the Federal Government maybe level 15.
secondly you have a company with a very good turn over of around N20m a month. I will advise you to include your profit from your private firm with what you earn a month and that's your monthly earning also you should be able to how come you earn income from 2 jobs.
You need to confirm if your dad and family relative entered U.S legally to become a U.S citizen.
Your travel history is okay and you need to be honest and straight forward also your WHT is not a bank statement they won't need it and you should bring your firm bank statement and if possible your own.

I've been a silent follower of this thread for years. It happened to be my third time at the embassy today and I bless God I am here to share a testimony. I got approved for a business visa at the Lagos embassy. I'm attending a conference in FL.

VO: pass me ur passport
VO: where are you going to in the USA
Me: west palm beach, Florida
VO: what's happening there?
Me: I'm attending so so conference holding at so so so......
(VO was checking through my passports' pages probably to see my travel history... I've been out of the country on various occasions)
VO: what do you do for a living
Me: I am the managing director of so so so company and double as the business manager. We are into so so so
After a few minutes of typing into her computer she brought out a white paper and that was it.

Thanks to everyone on this thread and ultimately God who granted me favor.

The best way is to make a call through to the embassy . You ll be guided on how to bring the right passport for endorsement.

Depends on the mood of the person doing the printing.

Only the white paper is authentic, the rest na just for decoration.
