answer the question yourself, which land are they destroying?
..

..to get their freedom from the Nazis, much of Western Europe was destroyed.

Niger delta area is supposed to be developed like many modern cities. But what do you have? Shanties. Instead Lagos and Abuja grow.

Let Buhari introduce fiscal federalism or implementation of the resolutions of the last CONFAB.

I'll like to read your comments on the marauding herdsmen killing innocent pple and buharis long silence. As well as his seeming lack of respect for citizens. Disobedience to court orders, delay in everything including the budget of yams. Phoney corruption trials of those in opposition. Killing and mass burial of Shiites. Buhari no be am abeg. Everyone is running abroad but nobody wants a reconolization.

Oil makes up only 13% of Nigeria's GDP but over 70% of government's revenue. With the right structures, It is not inconceivable that oil will someday be less relevant in national discourse. Also, with concerns over climate change, oil will become less relevant in the coming decades.

When that happens, the Niger Delta will still be polluted not just by the actions of the oil majors but by the stupidity of Niger Delta youths, who can not think of the consequences of their narrow sighted actions. Perhaps, they are seeking another amnesty programme.

The cleanup of Ogoni land is billed to begin in June. It will take 25-30 years to complete. The effects of these blown pipelines will be felt not by the rest of Nigeria but by the children of the vandals.

The importers of refined fuel and generators will never allow Nigeria develop. They are the sponsors of this pillage.

The Niger Deltans have no reason to complain. Their kin was president for six years.

Very smart comment bro. I just wonder how some people think before they act. Soon another crazy fuel scarcity will hit the country and they think it will affect Buhari, it is still the common Nigerians that will feel the pain. They should look for better ways to do things and not what will still affects them or their families. Common local government chairman no go feel the pain talk less of the president. Make they destroy everything na them sabi

Why can't urban development in Port Harcourt or Warri or Yenagoa be like that in Abuja?

The only language that Nigerian government understands is violence.

Preach peace and they put you in prison, but fight and cause havoc, they call you for negotiations.

I am actually beginning to think that for Africans.. Nigerians are the worst of the worst. Port Harcourt has one of the worst and dirtiest and dirtiest airport. When I worked in telecoms no one wanted to Install masts or bts. Because of the. Kidnappings killings and multiple settlement. If the cost of installing a bts was 100.in Port Harcourt it would be 8000.i was thinking why would u do these for yourself all in the name of instant gratification. There is nothing going on in the Niger delta only hotels and restaurants. Nothing.

I think it is high time the government put efforts in place to ensure and entrench patriotism among citizens. Government need this now more than ever. This should rank parri passu, with accountability and transparency. The same level of resources used to tackle corruption, transparency including; financial, media, propaganda, time and others should be used to develop patriotic Nigerians.

How is it possible? It is not possible to guard thousands of kilometres of pipeline that crisscoss jungles and swamps. There will always be plenty of places where people can act and carry out their heinous activities. It is why I always laugh whenever I hear Buhari threatening the boys. No be people security see dem go catch? Those who went for amnesty understood why. I often wonder if Buhari was present in this country in the past when people sought those solutions to the problem. If he had been present, he would have tread cautiously on the Niger delta issue. He was too aloof in Daura then condemning what past government were doing.
His advisors and supporters have now successfully pushed him to limbo by making him to first appear as an unyielding General.

Let's see if he adopts his supporters advice of dropping barrel bombs across all the Niger Delta.

Stop this nonsense chest beating. Blowing up the pipelines won't help anyone's course. And violence is not a monopoly to you lot in that area. If the government decides to fight, tons of you will die including the innocent. You can't wage war against government and win.

Be sensible finally.
