ABCTRANS : Why have you forgotten me in the car park?

MARKET : You have not shown me a Good Result.

ABCTRANS : Get me out of this horrible place and I will show you a Good Result.

MARKET : No no no....that's not how it works....you will have to show me a Good Result first.
You know, your business is very visible.
Everybody sees your big buses running around Nigeria and the West Coast, yet, each quarter, you come out with a worse
result than previously.
Are your passengers travelling on free tickets?
Show me a Good Result and I will lift you up.

ABCTRANS : (Now boiling) Ok, since you're like that...people have told me...everybody knows you're very wicked,
but I will deal with you.
(Slaps Mr Market with an even bigger Loss Result-Q1'16-than ever before).

MARKET : Hahaha! Foolish company, you slap me with a bigger Loss Result?
You have only slapped your destiny.....you have no sense, and that's why you are where you are...........
Now you will rot in that car park!
And when I finish the new park, the 1k park, you will be first to be moved there......junk stock!!!

So many of them really, but I've just seen abc result and I just wonder why some companies that made their founders billionaires when private turn to Loss makers when quoted.

The reason they make loss when quoted, is because they cook their books, and diverting profit to other things.

Oando and DAAR are typical examples.

That's why I am very careful investing in ONE MAN BUSINESS.

Sir, 1.05 and transcorp closed on bids. And for Fidelity, the bank has no big players around it in terms of offshore investors and big local players. And there's no much room of capital appreciation when compares with SKye and FCMB. I will choose FCMB ahead of Fidelity! Digest the tip i gave you on FCMB sir lol grin

WAPIC made a profit in Q1 16... even higher than Q1 15... mostly due to their acquisition of a stake in that merchant bank from Access

Its an unstable stock where chances are high you can loose money than achieve the expected capital gain..This is because too much profit taking on the stock by those who had entered at very low price..So, I will advise you enter at a price between 90k and 95k.

http://saharareporters.com/2016/05/06/access-banks-md-herbert-wigwe-arrested-efcc-over-diezanis-5m-secret-fund-nimasa-and

Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) today raided the headquarters of Access Bank Plc. in Lagos, and arrested the bank's managing director, Herbert Wigwe. An EFCC source disclosed that Mr. Wigwe was quizzed regarding funds laundered through the bank by officials of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA). Our EFCC source stated that the source of some questionable funds located in the bank was also traced to former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke. The source disclosed that the Access Bank MD received $5 million that was routed through Zenith Bank.

http://saharareporters.com/2016/05/06/efcc-traces-88m-alison-madueke-sterling-bank-md-yemi-adeola

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said they traced more than $88 million to a hidden account controlled by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sterling Bank of Nigeria, Yemi Adeola. Our EFCC source said the money was transferred to Mr. Adeola from Fidelity Bank of Nigeria whose managing director, Nnamdi Okonkwo, was last week detained by the EFCC. Mr. Okonkwo last was granted bail late yesterday.
One EFCC source told SaharaReporters that the $88 million found at Sterling Bank was separate from the $115m given to Fidelity Bank by the ex-oil minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke. The funds were used to bribe officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to rig the 2015 presidential election for ex-President Goodluck Jonathan. Our source disclosed that Mr. Adeola had kept the $88m as an "off-record" transaction. Mr. Adeola, who was arrested yesterday, remains in the custody of the EFCC.

I think the former Minister of Petroleum should be invited for questioning. Very unfortunate that GEJ didn't do anything about this issue cool

This is double standard. A common man will steal something, police will recover it and still be jailed. Thus, i do not support this idea of refunding the loot and allowing them go. Its just not fair. They should also be charged to court, tried and jailed to serve as deterrent to others..

Wema Bank plc yesterday sought shareholders approval to enter into discussions, negotiations, and or agreement with any bank, financial or non-financial institution locally or internationally for the purpose of acquisition, merger, and equity investment in such bank or institution or undertake any business combination beneficial to the bank.

The bank also sought the approval of its shareholders to raise additional capital of such amount as shall be appropriate for the business of the bank either locally or internationally through the issuance of tenured bonds, irredeemable preference shares, notes, equity or debts (or a combination of both) loans in any currency, whether or not convertible to shares, or any other methods in one or more tranches and at such interest rates, pricing and terms to be determined by the directors as they deem appropriate.

http://businessdayonline.com/2016/05/wema-bank-positions-for-acquisition-merger-equity-investment/

What will be the effect of this on wema bank's shares. Should we expect it to hit 50kobo?
The meeting on Thursday May 5 discussed seeking shareholders’ approval to issue bonds to raise money for expansion by acquisition of another commercial bank (remember it was granted a national banking licence less than 6 months ago) and also discussed at the meeting was the payment of dividend by end of 2016 (but in May last year Oloketuyi made same promise).
Whether it will move upwards in the coming week/s might be due to budget optimism. Whether it will move downwards might be due to its lacklustre Q1. However, share price is likely to go down before announcement of dividend payout this year. How much will the dividend be; 6kobo?

TRANSCORP
In 2013 upon the announcement of the company’s acquisition of the Ughelli plant the stock price surged almost 200%. At the last AGM, Elumelu made the announcement that it is concluding discussions with the NNPC to acquire idle gas plants. The last two days before the April 30th meeting there was significant increases in volumes; 11.8m on the 28th and 29.1m on the 29th and then another large volume of 20.1m on may 6th. However today’s volumes are a far cry from the 100m shares traded on a daily basis just days before the announcement of the Ughelli acquisition.

Elumelu also made mention that the company would increase its power generation from 300 to 800mw from June

Transcorp formed a doji on Thursday as seen by the tech indicators.

When u are considering the traded volumes, also consider the untraded vols.
That stock was on full bid for the most trading time on Friday.
Fingers crossed. We will watch and see how things unfold. Am not a fan of transcorp though but want to profit from the volatility. Transcorp have many oil wells already acquired. Why are the curbing out such results with all the assets already in their possession?

Neither am I too mercylicious..Had to sell off when the stock was not performing. However, those who are hyping the stock on the strength of NNPC gas development arrangement need to thread carefully. I remember how they scammed unsuspecting investors during their IPO who fell for Tony's scheme by purchasing at very high price- above N7 not to now see their investment reduced to nothing. As if this was not enough, he, tony seperated Transcorp hotel (cash cow of the group) from the holdco to deceive investors to invest again in the coy independently after being one of the selling point that attracted them to invest back then during IPO.

Honestly, i suspect manipulation going on on the stock and I pity defenseless and irrational investors who think the increase in price is based on fundamentals. They will be shocked when tony and his cronies will pull a stunt on them after achieving the set objective and free fall of the price will begin. Considering the renewed bombing of pipeline by militants and long lead time gas development involves, any right thinking investor will be wary and refuse to be swayed by this flash bull of the price.

This is my opinion.

Kai! See as FO is likely to gain another 20% this week. I had chance to buy at N190 and I only bought some tasere units. You just can't win in this market. Even when you see opportunity at the right time fear no de allow you capitalise on it.

I tell you! That is the thing with this market. While you are busy contemplating, the stock takes off right before your eyes and you are wondering why you didn't just push that BUY button the previous day! I spent the whole Thursday contemplating whether to load more FO at 190 or not, next thing I knew, it was swept off! I took the courage to load Transcorp as it went off on Friday. Now I'm watching. I just discovered another coded stock today which I am investigating. Once it pans out fine, I will not look back!
