The Great Vivianobas, I hail o! so you still dey come here.

Actually a few people are having issues when they presented receipts with amounts that seemed 'ridiculously small', seems some VOs and POE Officers think that you cannot have a baby cheaply and legitimately at the same time in America. Most people have not had issues though.

One cannot blame some of these people for their reasoning, after all it is well known that healthcare in America is expensive. Please people should just avoid Chicago POE among other precautions against stories that touch.

I personally will not pity anyone who gets turned back from Chicago after reading this thread.

vivianobas:
Hi Mismarshal, it will interest you to know that I started this whole MIHS thing on nairaland after I delivered. I can authoritatively tell you that your friend didn't tell you the truth about why she was turned back at POE. MIHS maternity package was not subsidized by the government but was rather created for low earning citizens/immigrants. I have travelled to the US five times since my delivery and no immigration officer has requested to see my payment receipt.

I know a lot of people benefited from MIHS maternity package while it lasted and hope they will come online soon to corroborate my claim.

Hummmnn...

What if this is a recent development? Will you say MadameU is also lying? CBP people don de vex o! A friend of mine, as in, a friend like a sister was turned back from Chicago for using a package deal. We are all still traumatised on her behalf. This ish is real. I hhave also heard 2 separate stories about this MIHS issue. Am thinking it's the POE that has gone bonkers.

My friend was able to get correspondence from the hosp in her defence that she owes nothing so that she can reapply for a visa

Please, what amount is their definition of 'too cheap'? Lots of people have been using hospital+Services that add up to less than $6,000. Could that be refereed to as 'too cheap'?

[quote author=ebiv post=45488534]Thanks for your response... I just have plenty questions..

Buy snacks like gala, biscuits and juice for him for the journey. Or get small rubber containers put cornflakes ,cereal, milk. Keep them in ur hand bag and feed him on the flight if he can't eat their food.
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by MadameU: 6:16pm On May 10, 2016
Omo these people dey vex o. How can it be a crime to take up a selfvpay package deal?. I was badly thrown aback when I was refused last week ; I can even tell you I've gotten over the refusal, I hope the air clears out soon on the issue of low or too cheap bills. In trying to get stuff together for my next Visa application I have called MIHS to get a fresh letter from them but no show them no gree. Haping on the fact that they gave zero balance letter before and that if d embassy needs to verify they should contact them.

But my heart tells me them go soon calm down .... I've that but feeling. It is well.

Sixta, just set aside money for your port health certificate shikena!
Some folks dress 2 layers and add a coat as the third but to me e doesn't work, just be strong and lively also try to catch as much rest as you possibly can before your trip.

Wear a black top with Peggy jeans. Black makes one look slimmer. Pele

In addition to a black top you can get a black sweater the type that doesn't need to be buttoned but you can wear on top. It also gives a slimming effect. Wear smart shoes oh.
