Its all about perception bro. Jonathan remains an intelligent man in my own opinion. Do you know the same subsidy issue gave rise to SURE-P?

Do you remember the new buses released by Jonathan to cushion the effect of fuel hike? same hike that was opposed by all and sundry?

Now, apart from promises, what has Buhari done to cushion the harsh economy?

Same Jonathan increased salaries just before the decision.

Same Jonathan made that decision when N160 = $1

How can we trust further promises when the previous ones have been denied?

Anyway, its all about perception, 2019 would tell. If Buhari excels, I would be glad.

Who even owns the idea of subsidy removal and reinvestment?
Abeg stop calling Jonathan intelligent man... Which sure P are you talking about? Is it the one that only few people that are their people enjoyed it? Sure P even has a corruption case with efcc I think..... You mentioned buses released by Jonathan, lol I think it's only in your room that you got the buses.... Your hatred for buhari and hypocrisy will soon consume you like someone rightly said you still have 7 years of wailing to do

It surprises me the way Nigerians have responded to this issue, It shows their support for this govt even inspite of the hardship, Nigerians know what they want, we r not stupid, question is, how come Nigerians support this govt in its decision to deregulate d downstream sector but n 2012 occupied everywhere n fought d govt to a stand still... I think d answer is simple... The charisma ND credibility of the leader... Nigerians didn't trust GEJ with d proceeds from subsidy, buh they do with PMB...Nigerians believe that with PMB at d helms of affairs, this money would be put to judicious use... My analysis
It shows that APC supporters are jobless & lazy that's why they had the time for protest in 2012. for us GEJ supporters we know that irrespective of govt. policy we will make it and I cannot leave the bar I'll make today for protest. anyway deregulation is a brainchild of GEJ so we support cos we are not sentimental and tribalistic like APC zombies.

Sorry but as at january 1st 2012, nobody thought GEJ'd govt was corrupt. Of all the cases publicised by the EFFC, how many date back to 2011 or January 2012?
GEJ had already proven to be weak and Ineffectual since his days as acting president and later president in 2010/2011.

It was in 2011 that fuel subsidy rose from N760bn to N2.3tn. So, Nigerians already knew about this and GEJ's failure to act against those behind the theft.

There were already many corruption cases before 2012 but I don't have the time now.

no strike in abuja. road is busy as usual

I don't know which part you are in o but here inside town, maitama, asokoro(my route) it's not looking like d usual.
Traffic is scanty and there is a heavy presence of security personnel around the secretariat and eagle square.
Early the Federal high court officials had challenges entering the building as lots of them were seen waiting in the staff busses outside the gate.

Here @ bode Thomas, surulere.. Gov schools around ds axis (babs animaseun/Eric Moore) joined the strike.. Students are been asked to return back to their homes... Some businesses are shut. Some are fully opened for business... Still hard to tell for now. Really hoping people stay put cause N145 isn't friendly for we entrepreneurs. FG has got to take reaponsiblities for the forex hike. I am not against subsidy removal but paying 145 per liter is crazy. You can't thighten up the economy and expect the citizens to pay for their woes. If the president doesn't know what to do, resign! Period!
