ExLaidback:
Hello People in the house,
To the guy who was robbed, I'm sorry to hear that. May you not fall victim ever again.
Please I'm shopping for a good tech analysis software/platform/app/tool/website etc. Any suggestions Something that plots out trends in a line graph and allows calcucation of various ratios? Something reasonably elaborate. The research tool that comes with (my broker) Investment-One's Easytrade platform is grossly inadequate and Excel isn't cutting it for me right now ('cos i don't like how it plots graphs like an after thought). Please any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
Edit: I understand such a platform may be hooked to real time market data and so may require subscription OR not.
$$$

Ah! no body can refer to any such app/platform? E be like say na those of us wey be gamblers or stock betters plenty pass for here o. LMAO grin grin grin Just kidding, but seriously any suggestions? thanks.

http://bizwatchnigeria.ng/cbn-raises-n111billion-treasury-bills-higher-yields/

Nigeria sold N110.93 billion naira ($557.44 million) worth of short-dated Treasury bills at an auction on Wednesday, May 18.

The action generated higher yields than at the previous sales reflecting the sharp spike in inflation growth in the nation, The Central Bank data showed on Thursday, May 19.

The apex bank sold N32.43 billion in the three-month paper at 8.10 per cent, compared with 7.99 percent at the last auction on May 4.

A total of N22.82 billion of the six-month bills were sold at 9.20 per cent against 9 percent previously, while N55.68 billion of the one-year debt was sold at 12.48 per cent compared with 11.05 per cent previously.

Investors demanded a total of N216.5 billion against N261.52 billion subscription at the last auction.

Annual inflation in Nigeria quickened to a near six-year high of 13.7 per cent in April, from 12.8 per cent the previous month in part due to rising petrol and electricity prices, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Monday, stoking expectations of another rate hike.

Nigeria’s rate-setting Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) is scheduled to meet on Tuesday to take a decision on benchmark interest rates and other financial tools to curb growing inflation in the West African country.

It's either the subsidy arrears payment that was just made or a huge recovery was recorded. There's no other way a petroleum marketer owing the bank will benefit from this payment other than in the liquidation (full or partial) of the debt owed.
It could also be that a good news is cooking.

FCMB has got me thinking. What kind of bid is this at N1.42? To think I missed this bus because I was hoping it would drop to my junction sef. I'll just have to forgive myself. cry

Copied:-

In Zimbabwe, a man appeared and announced to the villagers that he would buy monkeys for $20.00 each. The villagers seeing that there were many monkeys around, went out to the forest and started catching them. The man bought thousands at $20.00, and as supply started to diminish, the villagers reduced their effort.
He further announced that he would now buy at $30.00. This renewed the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys again. Soon the supply diminished even further and people started going back to their farms.
The offer increased to $40.00 each and the supply of monkeys became so little that it took so much effort to even see a monkey, let alone catch it!
The man now announced that he would buy monkeys at $100.00! However, since he had to go to Jo'burg on some business, his assistant would now buy on his behalf. In the absence of the man, the assistant told the villagers, "Look at all these monkeys in this big cage that the man has collected. I will sell them to you at $80, and when the man returns from the city, you can sell them to him for $100.00 each." The villagers came together with all their savings and bought all the monkeys.
Then they never saw the man or his assistant, only monkeys everywhere!

You have just been given a free lecture on how the stock market works!!!

@ufotty2001, how can somebody connect to this trading daily and also have the option to buy or to sell. from discussion on this forum, i discovered it is possible to buy and sell directly to the market.
My stockbroker i gave money for more than two weeks now to buy fcmb for me has not bought it up till now. I dont know whether he is trading with my money.
I will appreciate if you can tell me the procedures to buy and sell stock by yourself without depending on your stock broker

It is shocking to realize that some people didn't know why we call each other monkey dealers. This is why one needs literacy in nsempa speak to easily flow with the discussions here.

NEVER give a mandate without a price limit, especially a BUY. My mandates always come with price tags. Besides, gone are the days when we just deposit our hard-earned money for a broker to buy stocks for us. You must be market aware. Your broker might just be waiting for the stock to reach his own exit price and sell to you. You don buy monkey be that. You have a broker recommendation already. Good luck.
