whats the date today? Aren't we about to start 3rd month, the last month of 2nd quarter, have things been better compare to 1st quarter? shortage of fuel, removing fuel subsidy, inflation sky rocketing to 13.7 compare to South africa's 6.3, shortage of forex, production of oil per day dropping to 1.4m barrel, increase in electricity rate, all happened and still happening in the 2nd quarter, so there is no dodging the bullet for Nigeria, you heading the Venezuela route, there is no other way, Nigeria is already in Reccession my man, and South africa is not in reccession.

With regard to the Rand, the Rand is a floating currency, we dont peg our currency like you do, hence now you are in deep trouble than SA. Which means you been running an artificial economy that does not reflect reality on the ground. SA dropped to 3rd because of the drop in the rand, which acts as a shock absorber and reflect the economic reality. Ask yourself why Nigeria does not float its currency, as i said, it would be N1000 to the dollar if you did, and that would place you probably in no.5 position in Africa.

Lets see whether you will remain No.1 after you devalue by 50% to N300 to the $1, Egypt or even SA might take its rightful place. Besides its not all about being No.1, you can be number 1 and still have a bad economy. Its all about improving infrustrature and the living standard of people.
