Hearing that which you do not want to hear can be described by a listener as unsavory or, at worst, insulting to their personally held ideology. It cannot be called barbaric. Now, the listener slaughtering said speaker for not holding in sanctity that which they hold in sanctity, that, that is barbaric and downright maniacal.

You were attempting to equalize the action and the reaction, as you referred to it, for reasons best known to you, likely due to a shared sanctity. But simple logic and whatever humanity you have in you reject the idea, and deep down you know them not to be, which is why you at least admitted they had no right.

It can be called barbaric because to my little knowledge words may have a heavy and a lighter meaning (or simple and complex meanings). Here's a meaning from dictionary.com

The first meaning is a "heavy meaning" while the second is a lighter one.

Are you aware the common usage for the word "barbaric" is for what you term the "heavy meaning"? I'd also like you to notice the contrast in your statements (bold and red) on that which you first clearly differentiate as heavy and light in meaning, but in the same breathe, soon attempt to equate the two, essentially by asserting that the heavy now = the light, and thus, the action (light) equals the reaction (heavy).

So, which is it? Because it cannot be both. Either there is a differentiation between the light and heavy meaning, or there isn't, thereby making them unequal.
