Before I start answering...I think i should give an overview of what i really understand by gender equality.. To me..it's about giving an equal social right to both the male and female gender... Having said this..I fully support gender equality Merits 1.it will bring out potentials in women 2.There will be no room for shying away from social duties cos of the feeling of being less important 3.It will create opportunity for the girl child in some cultures to attain the same level of education with the male thereby reducing the level of illiteracy Demerits 1.The only demerit i can see so far is that some women might fail to give respect to whom respect is due eg their husbands probably cos they now share the same social rights |

wristbangle:Thank you Gender equality has been a problem in the world and not only in Nigeria. I won't support equal right for both gender but I will say we women need our right in the society, we need our own respect in the society. They say what a man can do a woman can do better. I don't support equal gender because there are lot of thing we need men to do which we women can't do. At least we should be given at least 40% of human right. If we are given same right with men I think the world will be a better place for us all. Without women in the society I don't think the world will be able to rotate well. We women will do anything to make earns means for our family and society at large Demerit of gender equality. We women won't give men respect again, we will be rude to men. We women can do anything to make our self happy and make the men sad. We will misuse the opportunity. Thank you. |

Nice response Optional1. So let's proceed to question 2 because of our time Question2 : Concerning ladies who specifically want to marry a wealthy man because they are scared of marrying broke guys who may not have the financial will to take care of himself let alone family, so do you actually believe your supposed husband must be wealthy (possession of car, furnished apartment, big salary earner, etc) before u can tie the knot? About marrying a wealthy man and my husband being wealthy before i tie the knot... For me..being rich is secondary.. There are primary purposes of getting married which includes for love.. For each others company and so many others..tho i v had the opportunity of speaking with some ladies about why they want their men to be rich...some were like.."If they are not rich...they suffer inferiority complex".... But for me So far am well to do..we love each other and we are ready to WORK HARD together...wealth and others will follow |

wristbangle:Ladies are different, individual difference my likes is someone else dislikes. My won't marry for wealth but for love. What if I marry for wealth and later in future that wealth is gone does that mean I won't marry my husband again. Love is all that matters love conqur every negative things in life. I will marry for love and not for wealth because I never know what the future holds for me. Am so sorry for the delay am having fault with my phone. Please bear with me. Please! |
