mevisbleek:I think this is the fundamental problem here. You should definitely know why you are going to a certain school or chose a certain program. That's part of being a credible student. If you are an actual, legitimate student who has done the necessary research to choose the right school, then you won't need to "prepare" for a visa interview. Of course, if you randomly chose a school and need to justify it now, that could be a different story. |
| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 9 by Nobody: 7:08am On Jun 21, 2016 |
mevisbleek:Lol. You need to prepare for your interview, unless you want to fail. Even professors prepare before giving lectures. |

OjaP:If you applied to only one, you have a reason. Most Nairalanders don't want to tell the VO that their uncle lives in the town though, so they tell an elaborate lie and get refused. If you only applied to a single school, there must be a reason. Applicants can be refused for telling the VO that they applied to multiple schools but then being unable to answer a single question about the other schools or why they apply to them... Why? Because it is clear that they are telling a story. You can do what you want, but it is often quite easy to tell when people are telling stories because, frankly, they aren't very good at it for the most part. |

sulaimon1988:Its always best to have enough money if not the venture of having money issues abroad is no joke oooo (u will enter depression fast with little support system, even the worry when u then become out of status ) . What school did you get admission into ??. Each school differ, some have many opportunities for on-campus job and some you dont see at all. Also some programs have opportunities for GA after one year or some NEVER , the school dont give on kobo in financial aid to international student ........ DO some more research into what opportunities for international student the school has Also when choosing a school think about life after f1 visa ........ If it is MBA , better go to a well ranked program or else you wont see a good job (no company will file H1b for just any MBA ). I know some will say but we all plan to come home but its good to gain some work experience |

GboyegaD:Thanks once again. I tried returning your call but dont know whats happening. Doesnt seem to connect at all. I still dont understand how you got my contact.Lolz. Infact my moniker is my third name that i never used on my credential. U should work with the CIA, you know ![]() @ all i dont mean to chastise or reprimand or justify or judge anybody. I just wanted us to know that me meet people in strange places. No man is self sufficient and we need someone at a point in time no matter how well placed or rich we are. Lets learn to walk away from arguement when its toiling towards acrimony or bitter words. Incase anyone is angry with what i put down please forgive me. I d rather you win an arguement than we lose our friendship or hold anything against anybody. wish every one a great day and for those having their interview today, May God favour you n may you find grace in the sight of the V.O. For those hustling, may we share success story. |

Please urgent info 'what test is known as compass test?' Is it conducted in naija |
| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 9 by Walspring: 11:06am On Jun 21, 2016 |
Toche1:ACT Compass is an untimed, computerized test that helps your college evaluate your skills and place you into appropriate courses. ACT Compass offers tests in reading, writing, math, writing essay, and English as a Second Language (ESL). You can get more info from act.org and I am not sure if the exam is conducted in Nigeria but SAT is conducted in Nigeria Some school make use of SAT or ACT, I am sure if you tell your school that you have SAT then no need of writing ACT |
