Here is my question

I was refused visa two months ago to attend a conference. I am a pastor, and I serve in a Baptist Church, lecturer in Bible seminary. Right now, I am thinking of applying for a vacation visa with my daughter.

Why not with my wife?

She will be in school, writing her final paper, and also she is pregnant.

I know the outcome of visa approval is not predictable, I just want your insight and your contribution, if you were the visa officer that would interview me that day.

Looking forward to hear from you soon.

Has ur circumstances change since d last application? Moreover, given that itt was two months ago u were denied d VO may sense desperation due to timing and purpose of visit. If u ask me, i'll say give it some time before u re apply

First question is can you wait till she birth and travel together as family? since it's vacation
2) What you earn will matter at this stage
3) wait for at least 4 more months.

Yeah, another angle to it, that is why we always advise to ensure one's profile is updated before scheduling/rescheduling an appointment. If you are not conversant with a site, wisdom tells you to watch your every step therein. Do it yourself, follow instructions strictly!

N.B// Is this supposed to affect first timers too if they adhere to instructions? I don't think so.
This won't affect first timers.

Babe.first of all,you have to be patient while typing so that we can discern. Seems to me like you're still making the silly mistakes here again. Also, nobody can determine your odds of getting a US visa.

Okay, what has changed?
a lot have changed,i made a mistake by filling 30k instead of cos i have my own biz i do get more than that amount a month. to avoid being questioned thats what makes to input the amount cos it was my first experience so i did not asked questions before filling in d income.but now im experienced now to face the second interview lol.

Yea, the ties the VO is referring to might have just being cos of her biz, and I don't think the bolded is possible.
And its not even like she can cross over to canada just like that.

Who said?

Crossing to canada frm US is a piece of cake. Easier that blinking. All you need is to be stamped into US for 6mths, apply frm NY or California, go for biometrics, wait 3 to 4 weeks and u could b crossing land border frm NY to Niagara falls.

Thank me later

Calm down guys. This is nothing significant to fight over. I honestly did not think @worry meant your husband was living illegally in Canada, by his statement.

Do take it easy.
@LadyG, seyewest, you guys have been awesome here, maintaining sanity.

Does anyone know the cheapest n best airline to ORD or IAH, at the moment? This FX thing is screwing things up so badly.

Yes, Delta to IAH, 1.17m, only

Torr! What you just described is not 'just like that' na grin grin grin....at least she would still need to apply for Canadian visa and her entry would be documented.
I have tried to cross to the other side to get a better view of the falls but was told id need a visa. So I know you can't just go across the bridge with a US visa.

You want to leave your wife n newborn behind? A guy was refused on that ground. Btw, how old is the baby? Why not wait and go as a family. If I were the VO,I wnt be satisfied.

As long as birthing bills were satisfactorily handled (ability to have done this is even a plus), go alone for the Christmas holiday. Let your first child travel with mum when next she is traveling or all of you as a family after some good time has passed (not this August). Anyways, the child can also travel with you for Christmas sha, no be only im mama and the American go jus sabi America route jare. Just bind the spirit of rush-rush oh!

Oh yes it is a beauty especially from the Canadian side. We settled for a maid of the mist boat ride and got the Canadian view at our second visit.

Do you still get the regular 5year Canadian visa when you apply from US? I wouldn't mind applying o grin

You get for as long as your passport is valid for most times. Application flies from either NY or LA as at the last I knew of. Anyways, let's not derail the thread
