Peruse the bank statement. If the closing balance at any point within the last 6 months is up to 4 million, send a compelling mail to the International Admissions Office stating the earliest date of such balance. Explain that your sponsor had to make withdrawals for his business, & urge that your I-20 be issued so that you can commence visa processing as school resumes soon.
It's what I did.

Thanx bro. Although the. Closing balance is not up to .

Pls house I want your candid advice is it appropriate to reference an officer in your school during interview as the one who introduced you to the school on his/her visit to Nigeria for a conference in which you were in attendance of which he/she never visited Nigeria.
serious response pls.
thanks.

Gee, do you wanna do MSC? If so, have ever heard of the school called University of Bridgeport? It is one of those schools in Connecticut U.S. That admit low grade students. But before I go further I want you tell me your Nigerian undergrad GPA not the evaluated one, and the reason is this: most people do not realize that some schools do not ask for evaluated transcripts and as such might have a more lenient grader than many of the evaluator companies.

I know University of Bridgeport personally and I can guarantee you that with a good application and if you show enough ability to pay schools fees they will admit you straight away. And luckily also the U.S. Embassy recognizes the school and I've never seen anybody denied visa because of that school. Presently, there are over 30 Nigerians in the school.

Just checked it and they don't offer my course.

De way to go about it is this: first get a school in the USA for example you can get admission into technology management (which BTW, at Uni Bridgeport has the highest Nigerian student concentration) at UB for university of Bridgeport. Then after your first semester hopefully you will be able to get good grades, then using the grades you got at UB you can then transfer to another school that offers your course. I think University of Massachussets Lowel offer courses in renewable energy in the dept of mechanical engineering. You may check them out, but I'm almost certain they will not give u admission because of GP matter.

I know UB, as I was once at the school before I later transferred out. And secondly, if u don't know anybody in the U.S. You've to first go to the school that will be easier for you to survive and after geting the orientation about USA then you can go to those places which are more alien to your culture. Even though Texas has a lot of Nigerians there, I know UB will be easy for you to adapt because of its high Nigerian student population, the downside is that it is in Connecticut and during winter Connecticut gets so freezing, sometimes it could get as low as -7 degrees.
