Lol.... will i write that if i have not been ...

whatever if u dont know what a tongue in cheek based on the high population of Nigerian there. And yes part of houston have a high no of naija. If y dont see then o well
I am not going argue with you. You are only talking from hearsay. I have lived in houston for more than 2 years. Before I came to the usa, people said there plenty Nigerians in houston but you will be surprised that you won't see them left and right lol cheesy cheesy. You sounded like nigeriams walk on the street of houston like it's oshodi or Eko idumota. Well the only time you can see them is in church or mosque on Sundays

Only accredited Nigerian Universities
Igbiboi:

Please does IERF accept transcript from every Nigerian university. I couldn't find a list of Nigerian universities on their website...

Attend EducationUSA pre-departure and I'm sure you will find houston bound folks. But maybe not on the same-flight day

Going to Houston around August too. It would have been nice to have a travel partner

Good Evening nairalanders! Great stuff going on here. First time poster here. Intermittent follower of the good stuff you guys contribute. I will be starting my doctorate degree at Purdue University, West Lafayette this fall in the materials engineering department, and I hope to share my experience as it was a rollercoaster, tempestuous ( any other adjectives?)journey all through. However, I suck at keeping abreast of discussions plus my phone strangely makes typing Cumbersome grrrr!!! But I have something I am working on that I hope will ease the newbies into the process of applying.

Thanks guys

I suggest you send mail to the SEVIS office, and Lodge your complain.

Congrats bro! Got my visa approved today at the Abuja Embassy. Window 8.
I suggest you send mail to the SEVIS office, and Lodge your complain.

There is no need doing that if truly he printed the receipt online from fmjfee website

Didn't you read on your own sevis payment confirmation that you should wait 1-2 business working day before it will reflect on embassy system

Hi guys, I've been a silent follower of this thread and it has been helpful. Interviewed scheduled for 6:30am at the Lagos consulate and was directed to window 6. My transcript goes thus:

VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning ma'am
VO: please pass you passport and I-20
VO: So what's your mission in the US?
Me: I'm going to Texas A&M Kingsville for my master degree in Environmental Engineering.
VO: okay (nods)
VO: what will you do with this degree?
Me: I will come back to Nigeria and focus on the environmental issues facing the chemical/energy industries in other to reduce GHG emissions.
VO: Where do you currently work?
Me: I work with ***** (Electricity Disco)
VO: As what?
Me: As an engineering assistant (na bobo, me wey dey customer service)
VO: So who is paying the bills?
Me: My Uncle, he has been my sponsor from my undergraduate days.
VO: What does he do?
Me: He is a consultant to Lagos State Government on Sewage Disposal and treatment. He also owns a haulage company that deals with transport and logistics. (VO kept typing almost all through the conversation)
VO: Your visa has been approved, please collect....( I just stopped listening after I saw the white paper). Tears dropping from my eyes stylishly...

No document asked, just I-20 and international passport. All glory to God as I never expected it this seamless. Also, thanks to the gurus here. I immediately became a consultant wen I came out and started tutoring a guy on how and how not to answer.
Hope my transcript has been helpful and good luck to those yet to be interviewed.
Cheers

To get US student visa is not a day job and you must work towards it in order to get it.

There are steps involved and also money is involved and your parents must be able to sponsor and pay for you school fee as well.
