you are right brother. however, I contacted their respective graduate coordinator about the possibility of funding and they said yes, I should apply. in fact, one of them said I'll have an advantage cos few people apply for spring. so funding will not be as competitive like fall.

A lot of my friends are using that though. My major fear is mainly the stop overs in the case of Maroc casablanca and Doha ( for Qatar). Airports in the Middle East are making me scared.

Hi guys, I've been a silent follower of this thread and it has been helpful. Interviewed scheduled for 6:30am at the Lagos consulate and was directed to window 6. My transcript goes thus:

VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning ma'am
VO: please pass you passport and I-20
VO: So what's your mission in the US?
Me: I'm going to Texas A&M Kingsville for my master degree in Environmental Engineering.
VO: okay (nods)
VO: what will you do with this degree?
Me: I will come back to Nigeria and focus on the environmental issues facing the chemical/energy industries in other to reduce GHG emissions.
VO: Where do you currently work?
Me: I work with ***** (Electricity Disco)
VO: As what?
Me: As an engineering assistant (na bobo, me wey dey customer service)
VO: So who is paying the bills?
Me: My Uncle, he has been my sponsor from my undergraduate days.
VO: What does he do?
Me: He is a consultant to Lagos State Government on Sewage Disposal and treatment. He also owns a haulage company that deals with transport and logistics. (VO kept typing almost all through the conversation)
VO: Your visa has been approved, please collect....( I just stopped listening after I saw the white paper). Tears dropping from my eyes stylishly...

No document asked, just I-20 and international passport. All glory to God as I never expected it this seamless. Also, thanks to the gurus here. I immediately became a consultant wen I came out and started tutoring a guy on how and how not to answer.
Hope my transcript has been helpful and good luck to those yet to be interviewed.
Cheers
congrats

NJIT is a very good school. One of the best in NJ. But its expensive. Call the grad cord and if funding is available then apply. If you get funding consider the sch strongly. I mean for PhD you gotta get funded cuz of the length of program+ stay

Okay.. Safe trip and shine your eyes well for border and make sure you enter inside the Cotonou and make the payment at the Ecobank inside and not outside oo

Good morning house.

Went to pay my SEVIS fee at Cotonou yesterday and here is how it went.

I first went to Maza Maza to take Young shall grow and they said 10k because I have not travelled to Cotonou before with that passport so it is technically a virgin passport according to the immigration.

I was advised to go back to mile 2 and take a cheaper bus that will take me direct into Cotonou which I did, it cost 3,500 (4 passangers). When we got half way, the driver asked if we wanted to stamp our passports or not.

I asked how much and he said to stamp is about 5,000 but if we don't want to stamp it, we will pay 2,000. We all decided to pay the 2,000.

Getting to the boarder, he took a back end and was paying some money at every stop and they were so many. At some point he asked the guys to assist him with some money.

Anyway we got to Seme and I saw the Eko bank, it has a western union banner hanging from it.

I went in and told them I wanted to pay SEVIS fee and was told it would cost 134,000 CFA and I have to go outside to change my money as I had naira.

I went to change at 1,700 CFA for 1,000 naira. My cash wasn't enough so I went to use the ATM which didn't work with my card.

I was advised to go back to Nigeria to use the ATM which will cost me alot of money because of the immigration fees.

Luckily , I met a Nigerian bike guy who told me he could take me across the boarder for 1,000 naira, I agreed but told him I wanted a place to keep my money just incase of any thing, he took me to an igbo food seller who agreed to keep my bag.

I gave her the bag but before then I took my money and hid it on me, and so we went just with my ATM card and phone. (The reason I decided to keep my bag with the woman was to make the bike guy know I did not have any money on me just incase he wanted to set me up which is something they do).

We started the journey and he took some shady routes (which also has check points), we got somewhere and he asked me to come off the bike and get on another, I was scared but obeyed, he reassured and explained that the other guy was a custom guy so he will not be stopped, that it was just to cross the Cotonou boarder and he (my bike guy) will take over.

I got on the other bike and we crossed without disturbance. When he got to the Nigerian part, I got off and continued with my bike guy and I went to withdraw the money and we went back same way.

(Please note that it was because I did not have enough cash that is why I went through all that, so my advice is to carry excess cash just incase)

After we got back, I went to get my bag and also changed the money and went back to the bank.

They assisted me to fill the form and requested for my ( I20, international passport and the printed copy of my I901 form that has the coupon number), I showed a picture of my i20 I took on my phone, gave them my passport which they made a copy and also my I901 form.

I filled the form and submitted, paid the money and 1,000 CFA was returned back to me.

And I returned back to Nigeria paying another 1,000 to the bike guy.

20mins later, I received a mail from fmjfee.com that my payment has been received.

No the question should be..what exactly are you going on about?

Rather than wasting your time typing this monologue you should have follow whoever you want to send a pm first before sending pm.

Or success2000 you ask question first before making unfounded allegation.

Hello guys, I really appreciate the comments on this thread, it has been quite helpful.
I got a full funding from Montana state University together with a GTA for an MS in Mathematics . My visa interview is for next week, I want to ask if I still need to go with a bank statement for the interview?
Thank you.

Full funding thats great. Congrats on that. If u have a bank statement take but it wont be so necessary. What u need make sure is to be very prepared for d interview. Send some people transcript to review if needed. Your full funding must complete to visa success ooo ...Once u prepare well u will be fine. Ur bank statement wont be an issue for full GA at all

Also next week is full of holiday so u need to comfirm that ur date is not falling on salah or monday holiday
