He borrowed, he stole, he collected.

all i know is that Ayeni is with #237b.
the bank said borrowed and I even went ahead to say people are bad o,to show that their is no correlation btw what 'Ayeni' collected and any justification to 'collect' it
The MD of the bank is he a fool? .

The Gurus,
I got my tutorial on stock from these books;
The Warren Buffet Way by Robert,
Trading For A Living by Dr Alex,
Beating The Street by Peter Lynch
And
How To Make Money In Stock by William J O Neil.
From the above books, I deciphered these corresponding fundamentals/cautions;
-buy shares that show a 25% increase on its current EPS at its most recent quarter.
-buy shares that have at least 20- 40% annual growth.
-don't buy when a share trends SOUTH irrespective of its price. Buy only when it trends NORTH and must have showed a 5% increase.
-cut loss at -5%.
-set your sell-price at within +20-40%
-be fearful while others are greedy and vis versa.
-etc.
For several months now I have been searching for stock that suits some of the aforementioned in NSE. Which am yet to get.
Does it mean that NYSE fundamentals are different from that of NSE?
If so,
Please, what are the technicalities/fundamentals applicable in NSE?
I hate gambling that's why am digging this deep.

NSE stocks dont obey all these rules. A stock that is leaving the car park hardly gives warning signs except you are an insider. Before you know it, the stock is on full bid and the next time it is available, 50% profit has been made. By the time you finally get it to buy, it goes on full offer!
You just have to make sure you are on board before the bus takes off.

Alternatively, if you want to focus on companies that have been stable over the years eg Nestle, Total, GTB, zenith etc, Wait patiently for them at their 52 week lows and sell after you have made reasonable profit. Imagine Zenith was N8 in January! Mad price

In any case, you need a lot of patience.

http://punchng.com/shareholders-approve-gsks-plan-sell-drinks-business/

This is so wrong

The transaction will include the sale of the firm’s Agbara manufacturing facility designed for drinks business and 6.45 hectares of land
while the company retains 3.45 hectares of the land to enable it to invest and grow the retained GSK consumer business, according to the firm.

Under the terms of transaction, the chairman explained that the company would retain the production equipment used in the GSK consumer business and would lease from Suntory those areas of the Agbara facility, which were used in the production process for the core GSK business.

My observations:

1.Why sell off what you have and still go back to lease it.
2. Are they saying their drinks, lucozade and co are no longer profitable
3. What's the stake of GSK management in Suntory.

On observation no. 1: It is a form of financing called "sale and lease-back". It will allow the company to free the cash that they had earlier invested in the asset for other uses. It can also confer some tax benefits.

In a Lagos where the value of assets like land is increasing, it is not wise selling off assets and paying to leases it back.

Why not hold on to the assets and allow Suntory lease it.

But when your product is crude oil.............. ?

If the militants keep disrupting Nigerian output, thereby pushing price in the int market., while sparring oando's own installations at home, they will soon clear the depth and even borrow more to acquire more assets.

When I was a kid, I thought it was with own money you financed a business.
I didn't know it was by looting other people's money, a.k.a bank borrowing.

Investors, traders, and speculators should be careful of a company that keep asking for cash without generating cash for the investors. Everyone should be careful and thread softly with it. There's always another opportunity in stock market. Life is a race not a marathon!
