Again, I am not qualified for Dropbox means my B1 visa can't be renewed?
If from the time of the B bisa expiry , youu have not reapplied, you may reapply via dropbox . For the F visa, no.
Though in the light of present events, do you think that is a wise option? You have been blacklisted and what you should be doing is finding a solution to the medicaid ish
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by FabioRomani: 7:26pm On Jul 12, 2016
Hi, I can confirm that you do not need any documents for a b1 b2 visa. The VOs dont check documents. The only docs u need are ur international passport, ur gtb visa fee payment advice, the interview confirmation page, and ur 5x5 passport photo. Just prepare urself properly for d interview. Read thru this thread from d beginning, u will get lots of tips and info.

I was given a b1 b2 visa recently and no document was checked except all I listed above.

Cheers.

Maybe she should apply for dropbox after settling the bills just to know what is going on.

See eh,

This is not about settling the bill or not settling the bill

The problem is the attitude towards the son's bill. She let US settle the child's bill because he is a citizen. Nothing spoil. No crime

Now, she intends to spend an average of $30,000 on US education just because it is beneficial to her personally. But leaving a bill to a program meant for 'low income populations' when you have access to such amount required for International student fees

The VO feels that the US is being cheated or she is playing a fast one on the country. It is almost impossible to repay medicaid.

The best bet is to renew her B1/B2 visa, just to take her chances (agreeing with you) through dropbox. If she is invited for an interview she can try to talk her way through it.

Anyways, she should try studying in Germany. They teach masters in English

The bolded part was what I wanted to point out. Refunding Medicaid used is almost next to impossible. You will just keep running around in circles.

There was one lady here that had issues with medicaid (her own bills sef). She managed to geth her visa renewed after running around in circle.

I think she made a lot of attempts to pay medicaid and came back with the evidence. I don't think she succeeded in paying but she showed them Evidence of all her effort.

Also, I did not like the way you sounded when you talked about his surgery "his insurance paid because he is a citizen". It's a slap to any American. Not all citizens have access to medicaid, especially the actual tax payers.

You could have played the role of an ignorant emotional mother, that was life or death, the hospital put him on insurance to that he could survive.

So I guess playing the emotional role may work out this time

Thanks Nef for pointing out what I was trying to say in clearer terms. Going for dropbox will end in the same outcome. A waste of 48k and endup pissing off more vos who may pencil some crap on her profile.
If I may point something out, not to kick a dog already on the ground but for future users.
There are many ways Nigerians 'work the system' medicaid is one of them. If this baby had been born in Naija with all the rubbish and ingridents health k , the parents would move heaven and earth to pay cos na pay before service.
Now, God gives one an opportunity to see better healthk and you allow Americans to pay. There are always options- payment plan over a period or negotiate down and pay all. Cash is king in America and they WILLL always agree. Now I admit the bill may still seem high after the negotiation but if you were were in Naija you would still pay it. You would hustle, borrow and whatever to pay.
I wish NIgerians can have the foresight to remember about the future. And prevent issues that could have been avoided

@LadyG One can't stop learning and have learned so much from you and Nef(Nef you get mouth) hopefully the poster can try to pay the bills and if she can't she should show evidences of trying to pay no matter the amount also this should be a lesson to all of us.. We can't have our way everywhere especially in the UK and US. God bless us all.

May God bless your intellect for this. I am always mad when I see a lot of Nigerians come here and work the system like you said. A lot of them birth at the county hospitals using Medicaid. And when you ask them, they will say "Shebi my child is a citizen"

But you pay absolutely no taxes in this country, why do I have to be the one using my tax money to pay for your child that you just came here to birth and take advantage of the citizenship by birth? It's absolutely not right. If you come here, birth your child and pay all expenses associated with the trip, no wahala. But do not take tax benefits.

It's even more painful because I am currently pregnant, but I have to pay out of pocket for every dime my insurance does not cover (and most insurances do not cover you 100%, you still have to pay co-pay, co-insurance and deductible) despite the insurance company removing huge amounts from my paycheck every month. To cap it off, my tax rate is like 1/4 of my paycheck, yet I do no qualify for Medicaid because according to them, my household makes more than the required amount needed to qualify for it. Reasons why I am sad that some Nigerians find a way to work the system and still stand by it like what they're doing is right. So sad

Good morning house, kudos to everyone on here. It's unbelievable how much advise and wisdom is on this thread.
My question tho is if an applicant's interview time is 9am; what's the best time to get there. I have read some people post saying you should get there early cos of the queue and some have said get there towards your interview time. So abit confused.
Once again: kudos to everyone who contributes on here: you have made the visa process easy for people seeking it for genuine reasons!

As you have already read both opinions, it is now for you to decide what you want to do.
The viewd you wil get will not b different from what you have already seen. This is tantamount to asking people to repeat what they have said before.
Good luck

Abaluntu, if your appointment time is 9am and you get there by 6 or 7am, you will not be checked in. You can expect to be checked in around 8:30am. My appointment was for 7:30am but wasn't checked in until around 7:15am. So, my advise is to plan to get there an hour before your appointment so you won't waste much time waiting to be checked in.
